I expect WTW to be doing all they can to persuade Kyle to stay and if it's underhanded i'm all for it. If him and his agent are doing this to get a bit more money then good on them as he's done it on the field and should be given a contract worthy of his performances.

I hope Kyle does stay but i dont think we will hear either way for a while. My gut feeling is we will announce players for next season that coincide with the increments on the season ticket prices!

Their new prop has his sights on playing for England. Well done McNamara you clown, now in a couple of years time we'll have an international team full of overpaid, average auzzies/kiwis who can't get into their international teams. Well done. eusa_clap.gif

Having seen Achurch play several times on Premier Sports Leeds are welcome to him. Prefers playing 2nd row but has been used as a bench prop by Panthers. I`d class him as average, 38 carries in 9 games doesn`t impress me at all. England class, not in a milllion years so probably a shoe-in for McNamara.

Also heard a whisper from an Aussie contact that on his recent trip down under McNamara was tapping up Feleti Mateo to declare himself available for England, at least he`s got an English mother.

With the news that Leeds have signed a big young Aussie on a 4 year deal this morning, this may help Kyle with his decision making and strengthen our negotiating power a little bit. With a genuine feel good factor around the club for the first time in years, and lot's of positive steps forward let's hope the lad makes the right choice and decides to stay. The futures bright, the futures RED,WHITE and BLUE.

Know your enemy I say. As a Trin fan I'm well aware of the mindset that exists at Sheadingly. My opinion for what it's worth is that Amor doesn't tick the boxes, especially for the fans and sponsors. Leeds have always had delusions of grandeur but now after umpteen titles it's genuine expectation.

They like their home grown which Amor actually isn't. They like their forwards to appear more dynamic than Amor probably appears (to them). They love their big signings from the other top clubs no matter how clapped out they are, which Amor isn't. Above all they just adore a big Aussie, and will sign an Aussie prop almost as an instinct which is the only explanation foe signing Sam Backo!

I may be wrong and they may have changed but past experience tells me that he just isn't a Leeds standard player as they would pompously say. Amor will drop from their collective consciousness pretty quickly I hope. I mean it's nearly two weeks since they last saw him. icon_razz.gifRAY: icon_razz.gifRAY: icon_razz.gifRAY:

He was but Mateo has declared for Aus, played for city vs country this year. NZ also wanted him to play for them

As his preferred position is second row he's likely to be a replacement for the Cas-bound Weller Hauraki.

It will be a mistake if he goes back to the Rhinos we have given him a chance and with our coaching etc he has flourished he owes it to us to sign. He himself says he feels at home here never in his career he has felt at home. I blame ourselves partly because it was a stupid deal in the first place why we just didn't sign him permenantly and none of this you can have him back after a year non sense was so dumb Amor was the 6th choice prop at Leeds probably worse we could have signed him surely with no questions !. Amor is now at a side that is going places new ground, hes made some good mates here, Kyle can lead us into battle at Newmarket. Or will Kyle go to sheddingly be a bit part player and be a shadow I personally think it will be a mistake if he goes back, it would be a great shame.

That might well be down to how Leeds played it rather than us. It could well have been that or nothing. Leeds wanted first dibs. Remember they had first dibs on Iestyn Harris when he left them. Smart move by Leeds if you ask me.

If we didn't agree to it then we probably wouldn't have got Amor at all this year.

Agree again icon_eek.gif

Sadly Amor will not be the first or the last to have his head turned and career ruined by big promises, big money and a greedy agent.

Agree, we weren't in the driving seat on this one, he's a Leeds player and they call the shots and if we hadn't of come up with this idea we wouldn't have had him at all, so the club deserve a pat on the back for it. It's been another year at the club that has hopefully persuaded him where his immediate future lies, without it he may have gone to a number of other clubs.
