Parking - we don't have many fans so there is sufficient parking. If there are more fans, then some people will need to 'heaven forbid' walk a short while to the ground from where they park. There are plenty of places nearby for our size of crowds.

Pubs - there are drinking facilities in the ground, which raises funds for the club. As for other places, there isn't a lot of places, but we are not a million miles from any pub really.

BV has had it's day - That's why the idea is to revamp it and renovate it to a decent standard until a new ground appears.

What are you expecting - a national stadium to be built for our 80,000 fans in Wakefield?? Get real, get a grip.

I think we've just got to trust AG here. I'd rather he kept quiet until he's got his plans sorted. He seems to be trying to do the right thing right across the whole spectrum of club activities, even seems to be listening to what the fans say.

They have told us what plan B is I haven't even read the Express/Website but just from reading this thread I know what plan B is. I find it amazing that you don't.


What more details do you want? Seems like some folk expect Mr Glover to give them a personal meeting to explain the blue prints. What is certain to happen? If plan A comes off then there is no point going to far down the plan B route.


I think this shows that the club are working hard to ensure that when decision time comes they are in the best place possible to make the decision that will best serve the future of the club. From what has been put out by the club I am happy that they are doing their best to ensure the long term future of the club. I'm not going to get all upset because I don't know every detail of every plan that they make. Maybe we should get on with supporting the club and let them get on with running it.

His post is the kind of rubbish that away fans tell us about BV, when all in all, it is a functional stadium with sufficient facilities for who we are and the level we are. It is the RFL that are forcing changes amongst grounds and clubs, I don't think that Wakey, Cas, Salford, Saints or other clubs would have been looking at the completely new grounds situation if the RFL hadn't had their thing about new grounds.

The post was painting a picture that Wakey's ground is in some kind of inaccessible wilderness, when we are all aware that it is not.

The biggest problem with Belle Vue is the lack of cover. If they can sort that out then I think you are spot on.

I think you are spot on with this, especially when many parts of sorting Plan B may need to remain confidential until firmed up. The fact is there is more trust, for whatever reason, that if it is needed, the new board can deliver it if Plan A is further delayed.

Communication is much better, and average supporters without an in are privy to much more info today than in the past 10 years, and hopefully that is kept up. That is crucial.

Some think they have a divine right to know everything (and hopefully that culture or toadying up for info to the last regime is at an end), but the fact still remains, one entitiy owns this club now, not many small shareholders and a few larger ones. One entity with no obligation to tell us anything!

The major problems with BV are no cover, no parking and the fact its penned in on all sides, which frankly, is something thats is out of the club control.

Cover appears to be getting sorted, which leaves parking. As a temporary measure, I wonder if the old power station site could be leased and used as a stadium car park.
