He does make some questionable decisions. We never seem to get the rub of the green with him.
The penalty decision in front of the post was his parting gift to us all I think…
Anyway we can all look forward to a well earned rest from Chris Kendall’s activities for a while at least..

| Quote Kettykat="Kettykat"It’s usually a sad time for me when we’ve played our last game , but boy I couldn’t wait for the end of this game and our disastrous season. Tonight’s performance really hit home just how poor we’ve been if any was needed . As good as Mike’s Lewis is , we made him look a super star tonight ,and that collar grabbing attempt of a tackle by Crofts pretty much summed the night and the season up if I’m honest . Not Good enough in all facets of our game and haven’t been all season . Roll on next season because whatever happens between now and our first game in the championship it surely to God can’t be any worse than what we’ve had to put up with this season
'"
Obviously I've seen him play a few times
Personally, I think hes OK, with a bit of attitude, but plays with his heart on his sleeve. I have also seen that when he is under pressure and marked closely by the opposition, has a habit of losing his head a bit.
How many times do we make players look good, purely by backong off and not closing opponents down.
One thing I noticed tonight, in the second half collapse, which it was, only the kids could be d chasing back.

For G**s sake PT, get real. Your over comfortable, perfect world is becoming very boring now. If you're not convinced that referees are bent after that display by Kendall tonight then I'm afraid there's not much hope. At least 24 points were "gifted" to Rovers through his very dubious decisions. And we used to think Childs was bad.

Im not a ref bagger but he was garbage.
That doesnt excuse the collapse in that second half, which was embarrasing at best.
Im hoping several have followed Carter out of the door tonight for the last time

Not an expert in body language but Applegarth's manner seemed to confirm he's done.

| Our complete lack of any pace across that back line was ruthlessly exposed by HKR. In previous weeks Mason Lino has swept up at the back but he was unfortunately missing there tonight.
Don't know how we ended up with that squad tonight, injuries or Mash giving the finger to the fans. Had we depended on Leeds beating Cas tonight an equivalent Rhinos team would have had us crying foul and accusing them of bringing the game into disrepute.
A very painful and piteous end to the season.

| So the season was salvageable against Castleford but we weren’t up for the battle and gifted Cas safety and survival as a Superleague club. Win that game and we’d have stayed up on points difference!

The body language from the Cas players as they stood behind the line at 6-8 said it all. We missed the conversion then Lineham fumbled that desperation kick from Austin. If only..........

| So, we limped out of SL on a pretty awful night.
Fair play to KR who did what they needed to, and well. Great support from them too.
Kendall was bloody awful, it seemed like whenever we had any momentum he snuffed it out straight away.
One positive for me was that we (hopefully) won't have him reffing us next season.
Onwards and Upwards!

I will miss how Kendall aggressively throws his arms about gesturing repeatedly the trinity players to get inside on their try line (when they all were) yet when the opposition are on the try line defending barely moves any muscle despite 2/3 been a step or two off at the side of him. Wasn’t just me who commented on the difference.
It’s a little hard to defend a referee when there’s inconsistencies like that. Thought he was excessively lenient with KR in the tackle too.
That 6 again is just terrible. It’s so inconsistently applied that a defender can get spun round by his collar when trying to play the ball with no 6 again yet another team can leave a hand on for a split second and it’s given. I can’t wrap my head around where the line is as it’s constantly fluid.
