I think he needs regular game time, so that's he ready to step in if Sykes gets injured; for mine, he should be on loan at a club where he can play every week.

this is a tricky one tbh, i agree with ngbc to a certain extent i just not sure he has the attributes to make it in super league, then again i dont see what he does in training, i just question wether he worth keeping on a over seas spot when we could use that spot to better use, but i not coach just a humble fan , wonder if he could be made into a centre he seemed to do well first game at widnes when moved there, i hope he does make it did show afew nice touches but is that worth keeping i just not sure sorry only my humble opinion tho

They tried to offload him in the off season and by all accounts is on a very good contract as were alot oc people signed by you know who !

No attempt was made to offload him as far as I've heard. No idea salary wise but with a million plus loss it's clear someone is being well paid.

it doesnt take a genius to work out that with the club at the time trying to establish themselves after the previous season,administration etc , players would not sign 3yr contracts unless they were going to be well paid, issac john and vince mellars are perfect examples

The problem is how can John get game time,be advised as regards his progression, and be match fit when needed, if there is no 2nd team nowadays.
Good consistent A team performances used to put pressure on those already in the first team.
Also applies to players returning from injury

The friendly against saints may be the perfect time to give Isaac a bit more of a run out and see how he goes. I expect sykes to play majority of the game, but dont see the point putting him on for ten mins at the end

The passes he flung out to Cockayne vs Hull KR were top drawer

IIRC, Wright had a top kicking game and also read the game really well. Also, if we had a time machine, I think Wright would have done Isaac for pace

Wrighty beating Isaac for pace, really? Loved Nigel Wright,as a player of course but pace certainly wasn't his forte!

But Wrighty had what every good half back should have good hands and a footballing brain..something you can not really teach...unfortunately i have not seen this in isaac...and you either have it or not and something thats gone out of our game in the modern era.
