its comments like these that show how blinkered some on here can be. Obst and murphy were poor i the last third of the season and morrison clearly dropped off. The big issue yet again is why are people wanting out and the answer is simple, the club's future and even moore so the coaching staff has zero respect. I have said it before if other clubs came in for our players they would leave and this issue needs resolving. Kear and co have got a bad rep amongst players now and Johnson comments and moore asking for a release is proof of that. We can continually blame the players and yes i agree moore of all people should show some loyalty, but in two years we have had moore, johnson, sculthorpe, brough, peterson and tronc all want out or be happy to leave with a pay out and i dont buy tht it is all the players fault. Moore leaving will create a big problem because we cant replace him with any quality and it would yet again be another project.

one thing is rightt we will have very little quality and two or three injuries and we are in it deep. Morrison will only play half the season and he will no doubt be captain so we will be down a leader and have to rely o young lads with no leadership.

I dissagree with your assuption that Morrison will only play half the season. Last year i think he missed 6 games (I may well be wrong with this but he didn't miss that many) and they were due to a broken hand which could happen to any player at any time, Moriison hasn't been the sort of player who picks up niggeling injuries.

Even if he doesn't play for whatever reason we still have experiance and leadership on the field with players like Obst Rinaldi. Even the likes of Jeffries and Korky are experianced players.

You may consider some of us 'blinkered' but you lose credibility as you have made it rather obvious over the last 6 months you want Kear out and anything negative that goes on is due to Kear and or his coaching team.

You moan that we dont give our youth a try yet here you are saying if we get 2/3 injuries we wont have any quality? this is where our youth steps in and we find out if they are good enough. Also can you really call Richard Moore quality? yes he was a few seasons back but hes been crap for a while now and looks like hes going to cry when he sees someone about to give him the ball.

If this is your belief then fair do's, but i will ask you just one question why were some of the youngsters not given a chance at the back end of last season when it was plainly obvious that we had nothing to play for and all we were doing was playing the season out, surely that was the time to see if they were going to be up to it.

To be perfectly honest Chissitt i was asking the same question last season as were alot of the crowd at the games and i couldnt give you an answer other than John Kear dosent rate them or he didnt want them to be pushed into a team of players not fulfilling their talent and therefor getting the abuse that the majority of the first team Kear and coaches included deserved. We shall hopefully see this year if our youth have the ability the same can be said for Mr Kear himself.

To be perfectly honest with you I seem to change my mind from week to week with regards to John Kear and his capabilities regarding his coaching, what is clear as far as I am concerned is that he is a far better motivator than tactician thats not to say he cannot coach but some of his tactics seem outdated in comparison with the aussie coaches over here. One thing I am convinced of though is that he is clueless as what to do with the young uns.

Thats the problem with JK though. Motivation will only get you so far and if his powers on that score are waning cos a number of the players have lost faith then we aren't left with much but outdated and boring RL.

Agree re his ability to handle the young players which is all the more worrying since a number of the new players we have signed are relatively young also.

I know its all rumour but if JK isn't willing to listen to the opinions of the players particularly the senior ones and continues with an "I know best approach", next year will be yet another long and unproductive season, particulalry as we wont have brough and tronc helping us win 3 or 4 of the first seven games

so what was motivation of both the cup triumphs with Sheffield and Hull,

there must of been some game plan as you just can't say ' go on lads get stuck in' and expect to get that far

Mate the game has moved on considerably since those cup wins particularly the Sheffield one. In addition coaches like JK tend to have a limited shelf life at a club and the fact is he has probably out done his with us.

Oh and to be fair the Hull side he had wasnt a bad team anyway

the principle is still the same you score more than your opponents, we all know we lacked the play maker on the field

its ok having a game plan but they have to put the effort in the first place

I am with you on the whole John Kear thing as 1 week i can listen to an argument against him and think yeah he isnt improving get him out then another week listen to an opinion of him being the best we've had and how much he has done which sways me back. All in all i think this up coming season will tell us everything we need to know i personally am not expecting much unless we sign Benji Marshall and Adrian Morley/Jamie Peacock but we all know thats not going to happen........... not at this stadium anyway with any luck kear moves up after this year and we go for a young Aus coach for our first season at new market personally id love JD to come as assistant and get rid of Beans but thats just me.
