What I find so sad about this whole episode is that I genuinely believe that all who post on here and support this Club are genuine fans and we all want the same thing - a successful and sustainable Wakefield Trinity - but all we seem to do on here is fall out.

People have the democratic right to question the Club but you have to ask yourselves what is being gained by asking all these questions, what difference in a positive way is it going to make.

I'm not privy to the finances of the Club and I have no doubt that we are are experiencing financial difficulties but I would suspect that we are not on our own. The problem seems that our own fans go trawling the London Gazette for WUP's and CCJ's then report them for all to see on this Forum. I wonder if fans of other Clubs do this ?

The rumours posted on here may be true, we may be getting a feeling of Deja Vu and heading the same way as 3 years ago but what does anyone think we can do about it - the answer is nothing. We do not own the Club, we do not own shares. We may think we are stakeholders but we are just paying customers who pay to see a product and we have a choice as to whether we wish to do so or not.

We can question all we want but the Club has no obligation to answer and even if it did and gave us all answers that we did not want to hear what good is that going to do.

We have re-signed Danny Kirmond and Paul Sykes. Chris Tuscon is joining us. I believe we are in talks with Ali and Lee Smith and I've heard that the latter has re-signed. I've been told that Tim Smith and Kyle Amor are NOT for sale - that does not seem to spell the end of the Club to me.

The Club may be in a sticky financial situation and experiencing cash flow problems and I guess we have 2 choices:

1. We can continue to moan about things, post rumours or even facts of a negative nature and wait to go the same way as we did 2 years or so ago but this time no one might come forward and it will be the end of Wakefield Trinity OR

2. We can get behind the Club, buy memberships, merchandise etc. and stick together and support the Club and we may just come out of this stronger.

The choice is yours but I know what I will be doing.

There is no irony old boy. We have to read your umpteen opinionated and self righteous daily posts so man up and take one in return.

Very true. Three camps these days. The percieved negatives, the head in the sand gamg and the 'slightly strange' minority.

Why is it so wrong ?

Ownership may be temporary but if the Club goes under there may be no Club so the fans will have nothing. As fans we may feel we "own" the Club but we don't, the only way we can determine its destiny is by supporting those who own it.

Ownership of the Club slipped from the fans when we became Wakefield Trinity RLFC Ltd and its now owned by Spirit of 1873 Ltd. Who will own it in the future, who knows, but it certainly wont be the Fans, not a Super Club anyway.

If you don't like it so much why bother coming on in the first place? Nobody is holding a gun to your head. Just give it a wide berth.

Without an owner the fans don't have a club. Without the fans the owners can't run a club. It works both ways and you can't have one without the other, hence the clubs own strapeline of together we are stronger. But both sides have to be as open and honest as possible to make it work. I'd like to think the supporters trust would be hammering this point home, otherwise what is the point? Despite the falling out on here we all want the same thing, a successful club. Right now it feels as divided as it ever has and that is extremely worrying.

As long as there are fans there will be Wakefield Trinity. Not in Super League, but there will be a club, somehow or somewhere. Ownership doesn't buy the spirit of 1873, even if it may do by name. The fans of this and any other club are more than just paying customers. Paying customers move when they see better offers. As a Wakefield Trinity fan, there is no better offer than Wakefield Trinity.
