Only on a 12 month contract so unless he gets homesick I should be okay.

| Quote: J.T "Maybe so but had he had a suit and tie on he could have been sponsored by Royal Mail.'"
That's just ridiculous, Royal Mail would be too small. The likes of Fed Ex or UPS would be in a bidding war. While we are at it, why don't we all turn up to the first home game suited and booted it might catch the eye of Bill Gates or the Dubai Royal Family. Take over complete, financial future secure and all because we got dressed up.
I am going to use Miro's input and put the economy back on track, everybody dress smartly and the money will come flooding in.
You realise that's why Ted can't get new investment it is nothing to do with his valuation or wanting the right person to take us forward. It is the fashion, the lack of players in suits and a coach who allows a new signing to wear something casual and has the nerve to wear a polo shirt in the same photo.
God knows what any sponsor will think of the Mariano photo he is so last season in the fashion stakes and Parker well he is featured wearing a shirt of another country entirely.

| Jeremy was not great for Salford but does not mean he wont be for you. New challenges, motivation, coaching and colleagues can sometimes be just what a player needs. When fans lose one of their own to another Club the automatic assumption is that they wont be missed/not good enough/insert negative comment here. Sometimes that is the case, and sometimes not.
I have a soft spot for Wakey and hope he does a job for you.
I would be more concerned with what he can bring to the pitch rather than what he is wearing, fwiw...

I agree it seems to be the norm now on all club site forums to slag off any player that leaves their club either by the players own choice or not!

I was replying to this comment you left,

You might have not mentioned you wanted them clean shaven, but why mention they were unshaven,it must mean you'd rather see the player shaved. How do you get I want the Trinitys' image 'stuck in a 90s grunge / chav un-proffesional timewarp ' from what i said.My reply had nothing to do with the photo of Smith,it was a response to your story of you taking a friend to watch Trinity play and players resembled outlaws from a refugee camp, dressed in scruff. When I go to watch Trinity play, the players who are not picked or injured are usually dressed in one or other of the clubs tops and tracksuits,so i don't know where your coming from.

Yes your right about "shaving," my apologies, but I stand by everything else and I honestly thought it helpful to pass on the comments made to me over the years so don't shoot the messenger. Plus, "Where am I coming from"? My own eyes of course.
As a footnote, on Friday I was talking to an "all time great" ex Trinity player from the 60s who has attended numerous formal functions where players attend and he is dismayed by the players who think it OK to appear in beach wear, (flip flops included) and a generally unkempt appearance (Aussies being the worst culprits). Defend or deny this all you like but many [iaren't[/i impressed but on the other hand I can't think of one person who would be unimpressed were they to make an effort on all these occasion. However, I'm sure there are occasions when they do make the effort, and rightly so.
And so I now await to see the quality and quantity of investors, sponsors etc for the coming season.

| I don't feel as strongly about it as the original complainant, but I did prefer the days when players and club officials appeared in a suit and club tie; it does seem that there's been a general dumbing down, which might not make an obvious material difference, but it does alter the perception of our sport in terms of self-respect and professionalism.
I'd also echo the feeling that Aussies seem to be at the vanguard of this dress-down approach, with Nathan Brown one of the worst offenders; scruffy oiks.

I'm not bothered what they wear as long as they win.

It's not at the top of my agenda to be honest, I just preferred it 'back in the day'. I find myself thinking that a lot thesedays though, so it could be an age thing.
