Personally I think he will start on the bench perhaps and then move in to cover injuries. Doesn’t even have to start, for a player like him a place will free up soon enough and if it doesn’t it’s a great asset for a team that must clearly be on form.

WP is lucky here as none of these players are his signings which means he’s not under the same obligation as CC may have been to play him.

You are way of the mark ,and think it's a insult to Jowit,Hampshire and R L , and B T .Why if he is that good was he not offered at Huddersfield .Could it be a player they wanted rid off ,because of the time he as been out injured this season .Just one more injury prone players who see Wakefield as a easy target to get a contractor .and does not care if he plays or not

Now this might just be my memory but I think Huddersfield were only willing to give him a one year contract whilst we offered the security of two. I do believe he is fit to play but Huddersfield prefer not to play those players who are leaving at the end of the season.

Conversely he might not fit into the coaches plans for this coming season having inherited him when he came last year and was prepared to keep him on this season as it would have been difficult to move on a player mid season, difference here is Watson has the backing of the club financially and in those terms has money to burn as proved last year with his recruitment, so just because shudds can go for more high profile players than us doesn't devalue Gaskell at all, and if anybody is being insulting it's you by your suggestion, just out of interest do you actually know how many of the games he missed was he actually injured, or was it simply that Watson did not rate him.

I’m with you mate, if the club want to keep him fair enough but I don’t get the love in. Yeah he’s upped his effort this season but he’s gone missing far too often for me these last few years. He’s not a leader and a lot of his kicking is just aimless. He has his good days but not often enough for me.

Phil Vievers said on radio Leeds he’s too predictable and plenty of time had Lino wanting the ball with better options but didn’t give the ball or it was too late. Think Millers form at Wakefield has left him perhaps a move might be best for all parties

Agree with this …. and since the Leeds game he has been playing obvs carrying a knock ! But he can do nothing right it seems .
