I guess he rates the guy enough not to face him but not enough to play him.

| Quote: PopTart "I would add to that by saying as a manager (in any job) you have a responsibility to the people who work for you.
Sometimes that means giving them the hard facts about their career and their work ethic.
Letting someone go, who is not performing is sometimes the best thing for that person, especially if they are really not capable of doing what you want them to do.
Frankie may find with another coach with another style that he will flurish and become a better player. he may also find that he realises the opposite of what Clan was saying - that actually, Featherstone is his level and he isn't cut out for Super League. He'll be a lot happy with his life when he does find his place.'"
I think thats a really fair comment too
Some players have to be realistic and if they cant cut the mustard have to move on
I really dont think this is the case with Frankie though, its only my opinion but i think the loan move is putting a rocket up frankies so to speak
Agar has enough experience in the job to know how best to play it I'm sure

| Wouldn't it have been better to let him come on loan to us though and play super league rather than play in the championship it isn't as if he would have played against you

Can't see why Agar would block that unless the Fev deal was better for Frankie. I can't see why it would help or hinder us either way.
.......apart from maybe if he thinks he's guarenteed a place at Fev, and may still be 18th man at Rovers

Unless you know all the details, which none of us do, then it's impossible to say.
I imagine though that Agar is balancing what's best for the player with what's best for WTW, with very little or no regard at all for what's best for HKR; which is exactly as it should be.

True. And speculating further, it's probably about getting his attitude right, rather than his ability right. Spend a couple of months with a bunch of guys who are good enough in a lower league to show you your own backside, and you might think again.

| maybe Agar has in the back of his mind what a spell at Fev did for Ben Cockayne, even if it is a slightly different circumstance (ie more on the field than off the field situation)? not to mention Ellis.

| Well Mariano made his debut from the bench at the weekend and what a debut!
Almost scored with first touch, a try with second touch - some lung-busting drives in second half
Looks a great signing for us, hope we can keep him longer than a month

| I hope he keeps it up with the scoring & drives for fev. A good player who will benefit from more game time on the pitch. Good luck to him & hopefully see him back at Belle Vue soon.

Maybe NGB4C followed some of the advice given to him last week.
Joking aside Marino is a cracking player who should destroy defences a level down from SL.

and i think thats the whole point, he will be getting regular game time which he hasnt been getting at belle vue. Personally i think that as an offensive player he offers more than either annekin or mellors - but offense isnt our problem its our rubbish defense that is costing us game s
