| Am I wrong in thinking that our points when calculated again will have points for the east stand added as they weren’t included the last time as the stand wasn’t ompleted?

...bottom link not working so I've deleted it but if you google "IMG rugby handbook pdf" it's the top answer and breaks everything down into the exact detail they are using

Yeah, that's what my understanding is. When we officially opened up the Neil Fox stand it gave us an extra point, that we didn't have when they initially brought out our score.

| Quote: Scarlet Pimpernell "I believe they are looking a marquee signings for next season, don’t they have to maintain a crowd level for this season and an improved league position.
With regards the original ratings we were above both Leigh and Castleford, I am not sure what they can do to increase their points. With regards Toulouse they are investing in their ground but it is unlikely to be completed in time for the final rating and they have gambled like Castleford with a weakened squad to do so.'"
They are trying to make changes to the stadium to get after points we already have......or have no we have the new stand.
The league position won't affect them too much but investment into the club will, which they have.
They ate putting seats in the stand opposite the seated stand so that when they make changes they don't drop below the standards.....like we did at the south end.
Their crowds won't drop below 3.5k average so they are safe there for now.
We are in a better position so I'm not overly worried, but we can't assume.

It's worth an extra point compared to the example numbers we got.
Edit......just realised that's what you said. Sorry.

| Is there any possibility that the London Broncos could pull some rabbits out of the hat and gain some extra points ?

| Quote: PopTart "That's not true. We aren't competing with London. They are already out.
We are competing with
Leigh, Cas, Salford, Huddersfield and Toulouse. And maybe Bradford if they got their act together.
It's the IMG table we need to look at not the current SL table.
The stadium and finances from Ellis help us a lot, and probably put us above most Bs, but the very fact Cas are making a big push for points means we have to be on it when reviewing these points.
Like I said before, the Western Terrace ideas look lovely, but don't really get us any immediate points.
Hammering social media will.'"
Exactly, it’s all about points. Things like the LED boards however small an improvement guarantee points and that’s more valuable before the next scoring.
I don’t think Ellis would let any quick wins like that slip through his grasp.
I’m not sure other than the boards, performance on the pitch, finance and social media pushes what the club could do but if we advance on those 4 to a good degree we should see our scores rise healthily. Let’s not forget we have extra points from
Stadium improvements.
The social media one we are making steady progress with for sure. If there could be some collaboration done on a few platforms to expand the subscriptions and participations that would be excellent.

It would be very unlikely they would gain enough. They may see some improvement through finishing position etc this season but honestly can’t see that much. Giving away free tickets etc isn’t sustainable either.

| Ellis reckons we're about 1.5 points better off than last year which puts us at circa 14. Cas will be in and I think Toulouse will drop out.

Do you mean in a better position than Cas…
Or the rest of the teams mentioned?

| Cas haven't said 3 marquee players; Lingard said would add 3 players with SL experience/quality and 3 the year after, by which time the younger players they keep will have 50-60 SL games under their belts.
He thinks that's enough to make them competitive at the top of the table.

With regards to the LED boards I think a few things will have to be sorted out first.
The existing perimeter board advertisers will have an agreement in place so they will have to agree that their adverts will appear on the LED boards. They will also have to agree that their advert won’t be showing 100% of the time as they do on static boards. e.g. if the boards change 10X every 5 minutes then their ad might only be seen for 30 seconds during that time.
I also think Verity Thomas will have to secure a number of new companies willing to advertise on the LED boards before Matt Ellis invests in them being installed. It’s all extra revenue for the club which will help offset the cost of leasing and installing them.
Once fitted though, they’ll give the whole stadium another uplift

I've been told that we won't do the boards this season, as Ellis doesn't think we need those IMG points at this stage.
Was told £300k to have the LED boards in.
