| It has been a great effort to finish 5th 2 years running, and congrats to all concerned. We keep saying it gets harder year on year, and yes you would expect Hull, Catalans to improve, but the last 3 seasons have been more unpredictable, remember Leeds now 2 out of 3 seasons in the bottom 4, Warrington last year, so you never know who's turn it might be next. One thing though, I think the last couple of games have shown it's tough if you have 4 or 5 regulars missing through injury, we have been quite fortunate in that respect, but with a bit of luck, who knows we may just bridge that gap next year and gatecrash the top 4.......

You would expect next season to be way harder, with Leeds, Catalan, Hull FC, Huddersfield all wanting to take "our" 5th place (or better) but, Trinity have shown that, with a full squad to choose from, we are a match for any SL side.
With the Super 8's now consigned to the history books, I'd love us to have a real crack at getting to Wembley.
With the Grand Final probably out of reach for Wakefield, The Challenge Cup is our only chance of some silverware and just imagine what a Wembley appearance would do for supporter numbers.
Wakefield is a proud RL City and we really do need to make a mark somewhere.

| I don't think the Grand Final is out of reach at all.
We are building.
We would be in the playoffs under the new rules in the last two years and the only team also there we haven't beaten is Cas.
It won't be an overnight change. May be a couple more years of progression but that's where we are heading if we keep going.

A Grand Final is possibly out of reach in the short-medium term but a Challenge Cup certainly isn't. Four one off games over a four/five month period is achievable and does not require the same week in week out consistency of a league campaign. The last two seasons have seen us achieve a decent stable platform to launch a go at the top four in the next season or two but the one off nature of CC games really does give our club a realistic chance of silverware.

| Well done all concerned at the club.
To achieve this, on our lÃmites budget.
A settled half back pairing which we have, plus a couple of astures signings to bolster the squad
Lets hope we can just go that little bit further next year.
Already twidling my thumbs.
Roll on 2019

I think you are midsing my point.
It isn't top 4 it's top 5.
So if we keep going as we are we are in that mix and it is a 3 week campaign.

| We should let the players & staff enjoy there great achievement for this season, before going on about how we might meet bigger challenges next year.
Year on year Chezzys improved the squad and with his reputation growing as a top coach some players heads may be turned towards Wakey next season.

| There is no doubt now, after a rocky start, we have the best chairman in SL.

Although I seriously doubt MC doesn't occasionally have to dig into his own pocket to help us out I think it's fair to say that the club is pretty much self funding which makes us one of SL's only truly stable clubs.
That's not to say we aren't sknint but we are manageable skint as far as I can see.
