Replacing Collis with Channing would be replacing an Aston Martin that breaks down quite often with a Ford Escort which lasts longer.

Channing is average at best, i'd rather go with either of those 2 mentioned who are just as good and we also have Lyne and Hall who are better bets than him. Bit of a waste of a signing if true unless Hall leaves and we need extra cover. If we can't get better than what we have already then go with those here and spend the money elsewhere.

Channing would do a good job for you, if this proves true. Would be very sad to see him leave Cas- gives 100%, doesn't put a foot wrong. Not the best player on the pitch but makes up for it with his enthusiasm.

A half fit Locke at FB would be a better option that a fit Hall, Miller or Owen at FB. Doubt we could afford his wages though.

With a record number of player off contract in Australia it could be that many players will be looking to the SL. Im sure a deal or two could be done before the end of the season and I would have thought B S will be well aware of players availability and suitability .

I'm a big fan of Tim Smith but I do wonder whether his time is up.
As Smith is out of contract next year it might be his choice as much as ours.

Personally, I'd go for Liam Finn to partner Godinet at half back.

yep I think 171 players in total out of contract, with a total of 47 at B Smiths x clubs. Should be some good / very good players available
