| This is nonsense!
I am buggered if I'm going to waste my life searching for a piece of paper to prove that it was me that paid for a season ticket in my name for me to collect at my convenience. Anything other than this, after providing suitable ID such as my driving licence, is ridiculous!
Rant over!

Yep. And those who requested it posting out should get it posted out, whether they have a Wakefield postcode or not. If the club don't want to do that then don't have it as an option. Maybe have an option where you can pay extra for postage if you wish but don't move the goal posts at this stage. Bad PR i'm afraid.

All i believe the club are asking is that when fans come to pick up their season tickets, that they have a letter or email and ID.
If you do not have a letter or email, if you paid by card, i'd get a statement showing the transaction as proof of purchase. If you don't have an email, letter or statement, then best to contact the shop on 01924 201548 and see whether they can trace your transaction'"
And if you don't have any of those things, ask yourself how you survived to adulthood being such a disorganised dunderhead.

| Had posted about this and then looked at the club website. If you don't have a wakefield postcode, they get posted.
I think it's quite a sensible move, except for the change of mind if they offered post initially for everyone. It means that you will now visit the shop. It shows a more aggressive marketing strategy, which I like. And it seems quite reasonable that you produce proof that you fit into a concessionary package.
Glover and Elston are learning the business together, and they are bound to have rethinks on things. Next year, I presume it will be more polished.

| I'm sorry but this is not on. I requested the tickets to be posted, as was offered so i expect them to be done so regardless of my postcode. I work 5 days a week in Leeds, have a child with a serious Heart condition that i spend any of my free time with on a weekend, i do not want to have to trail into Wakefield, in my limited free time just to prove i am who i said i was and pick up something that someone was going to post to me (Without checking my id) but changed their mind.
Isn't this the point of ONLINE shopping!!!!!
The club have got this one badly wrong in my eyes...
Rant over!

| Agree with many posters on here. I dont appear to have a letter but tried to pick up my ST after the protest this morning.
No letter no season ticket is the policy.
Although this is not the end of the world, it is over the top.
Not everything was right with the old regime, but being willing to pick your tickets up, along with proof of id should be good enough for anyone.
Especially when this has been ok for many, many years.
I know the club have to guard against fraud/ imposters but this is not good enough.
Please sort it.

| Your letter/receipt should be good enough in the first instance, failing that photo id (driving license / passport) and proof of address, and i suppose if you paid via card, the card itself should put all this to bed.
I haven't picked mine and my mates up yet, so we will see if i can pick BOTH up, i'm not 100% certain where my receipt is (although i rarely bin anything) and i deleted hundreds of emails a week or two back so i definitely don't have the email confirmation.
In the defense of the policy, i would be gutted if the club hadn't taken adequate precautions to make sure that some undesirable roustabout were not to end up with my ST.
A bit of common sense on all sides should see this sorted.

| just been down to the shop to collect our season ticket and took my lads BC just in case it was required, not a problem and they even added that extra child ST in which we was told was only for internet users (which I didn't need to ask for)
shame we couldn't get a seated one but the lad likes to stand with his mates anyway so I don't see that as a problem, whether we use them will depend on the day and the view.
now comes the hard task in trying to get the youngest one to come and watch, he has had so much rugby put upon him he finds it hard to watch
overall experience of purchasing a season ticket pluses for me
1 massive saving on cost
2 upgraded to seating
3 friendly service from the shop as usual

| think there is a lesson to be learned there with the postage of season tickets to anyone anyway whether its Wakefield or outer Mongolia,
on the purchase of the ST on the internet or shop there should be an extra option for recorded delivery and handling so you can make your own choice its not that difficult.
I'm sure the club will take this on board and improve again next season

| Anyone knowwhen the non-Wakefield post code season tickets will be posted out?
I was going to use having to pick it up as a reason for coming down there for a good day on the lash.

| Ultimately we are all customers and for matters of this nature the club should be trying a little harder to help us.
In all other areas we have come on in leaps and bounds so we have to keep this in context.
However, if there are areas for improvement then we should improve them.
