Suggest emailing Peter Box, leader, and Denise Jeffery, deputy leader and letting them how you feel, at the end of the day they represent you and need to know your views. It is them who control the cabinet, who decide who gets the posts on the planning committee. It is them who decide to delay the Newmarket planning decision, it is them who agreed to loan both Cas RLFC and The Wakefield Community Trust land to borrow money against and are now threatening to withdraw this unless one party or the other decides to share ( Express this week ). It is them who hold our destiny in their hands, it is them who are saying only one stadium when the district has had 3 stadiums for over a 100 years. It is them who can allow new jobs to be created by granting planning at Newmarket and allow the Community trust and developer to provide much needed first class leisure and sport facilities. It is Box and Jeffery who are advocating the spending of tens of thousands of rate payers pounds on a pointless revue of the Glasshoughton and Newmarket site. The advantage that Leigh had is that they are part of Wigan M.D.C, a council that cares about the sporting history of both it's clubs and did everything in it's power to help them achieve their ambitions.The eventual outcome could be 2 Super League clubs in Wigan M.D.C and none in Wakefield M.D.C if Mr Box and his allies persist in their current duplicitous attitude !

if there was any protest to be made it should of been done while sky was there the other day, we was so far up our backside with the teams performance we forgot all about the stadium,
the clubs idea of an after photo shot is only reliant on a good win and not what what we have seen recently so I still think it wouldn't work, but we do need tv coverage some how

Snowie i see you are warming to the idea. Well the WAkey express would be easy to get involved. We need at least 200 + wakey fans and a organised protest will help this get off the ground. Most of all I want us to show Mr Box and the council how much we love the club and this will show them with a peaceful but yet meaningful protest with banners/ wakey flags etc and shouting about the ground at Newmarket. Constructive argument and will let them know we are bothered.

Actually its the lack iof fans that is ruining / has ruined the club, protest all you like, wont make a scrap of difference, we do not have the fans base to sustain a move to a rented stadium and be in any way competitive, the dreamers on here may just dream on, it isnt gonna happen and keep wtrlfc alive without a miracle.

We lack the number of fans we need to become a real force in the game even when we're playing well. Add facilities and pricing structures to that loop, and I reckon you could close it.
Euromillions is our last chance. Get buying those tickets, folks. |
