As one of the posters suggesting that JK's position was untenable, yesterday was a good start to proving me wrong (and if performances and results continue in the same vein, I will gladly accept I was wrong).

However, we stuffed Harlequins and should have beat Leeds away, then got stuffed at home by Wigan and threw away a commanding lead at Catalans. So forgive me, but for now, one win doesn't suddenly make everything in the garden rosey IMO

To stop a team from scoring requires an exceptional effort.

The Crusaders were always going to be a bit flat after victory at Leeds, however, with our poor run of results, internal shenanigans & new structures due to players coming back from injury etc, that was a great result.

Well done lads.

I did not go to the game yesterday. What caused the hold up on the motorway?

I'm not going to get carried away after one (however emphatic) defeat of an inconsistent Crusaders side...

BUT - this result does prove that the team we have, when they're committed, fired up and ready for work, can be bloody good; now they just have to work out how to get into that mindset every single week.

Here's hoping!

Quote: RebelRebel "To all those who thought that JK's position was untenable after the approach from Catalans, and thought he would no longer be able to command the respect of the players and motive them

The result was a major surprise to me. It would have been easy for the team to go at the game half hearted given the Catalan episode and the travel disruption, they would have had any number of ready made excuses. To theirs and the managers credit they didn't and the manner of the victory (to me at least) shows that JK still commands the players respect.

I couldn't make the game so only have the radio commentary to go on but it didn't sound like a fluke, and the fact the victory was so emphatic would also suggest likewise. The proof in the pudding will be if we manage to put in that same level of performance for the next few games.

I have no idea what the difference was in the approach to this game and the Catalan & Wigan games. Millard back? Leano's influence? End of Les Cats speculation? Inspiring team talk? I don't know if it was any of these, I'd be intrigued to find out though.

Me neither but they did beat Leeds at Leeds last week and while the are a bit up and down a nilling at home is no mean feat.

Watching the highlights video, it looked like touch and pass at times! Crusaders tackling was hopeless!
