To be fair, the rumours were in the press, so it wasn't the usual forum nonsense, and they were in the press before it generated fifteen pages on here. People who post on here confirmed it to me privately, and they know people closer to the club than I did, and TRB made the enquiry of the directors before it went on here, and so posters shouldn't be blamed.

One way to unsettle a player is to put out a rumour that someone else wants him, and maybe the someone else ends up getting him, because the hat has been unofficially thrown into the ring. How did Solo end up going without an official approach before the end of the season?

The problem I had with it was the speed at which posters were ready to turn on the Club despite it being nothing more than a rumour and no confirmation from anyone official. Personally I think that given the huge strides we have made over the last few years and after such a good start to this season the Club and team deserve a bit better.

bearing in mind the comment made by Ted didn't dispel any rumours and the past history of the club it know wonder supporters vent their frustrations,
I do hope its true that we keep the players we have that are on contract, it will be a breath of fresh air to see us the envy of other clubs

Not being able to remember Ted's quote exactly didn't he deny the rumour but then basically said that all players have their price which is true. I can only imagine the uproar on here if Brough's form takes a turn for the worse and we then find out that Ted turned down a massive offer for him.

Recieved PM's from lots of posters "in the know" and quite a few of them thougth this would happen, just shows how easy it is to get it wrong at times.

I had to laugh at Today's Daily Star, despite Yesterdays comments from Kear, they still went with the Danny Brough transfer story, saying he was expected to sign this morning

Obviously the so called rugby reporter had not seen yesterday developments.

With such a big feast of televised rugby coming up this weekend its a shame they had to run a dead story like this to fill the pages.
