I posted on another thread that Salford will be gutted to have to keep him another month because he does not contribute to a team currently. Why would we need a forward who can break a defensive line and is probably playing quite a few minutes for Salford.

Could it be he could be starting to get a little bit better conditioned now he is not under the influence of our back room staff

Maybe he's pulling his finger out a bit. He scored tries for us though, that wasn't the problem, it's that in a few games he hardly took no part in and regularly missed plenty of tackles. Even as someone who likes him and sees what massive potential he has, I went to have a look at his stats at Salford and he's making about 6/8 carries for 50/60 meters, plus the usual few tackles and missed ones, similar to here.
I'm sure he could have crashed over for a few tries tonight and I'd have kept him here personally but ateotd he was moved on for a couple of reasons, one we needed a and the other, well we all saw his 'performance' against Hudds

Don't know what's going on with him at your club but thought he looked much slimmer for Salford tonight.
He seemed to be more involved in the game than I've previously witnessed for Wakefield and was obviously unstoppable crashing on to the ball near our line scoring 2 tries.

Based on that who do we move on after today’s performance.

Pauli's a funny one, he can have huge games like he did against Cas he made 131 meters from 11 carries and against wigan he made 127m from 12 carries, but then he had that game where he made one carry and just ambled around looking not interested in taking a hit up, a number of games he's only taking 5/6 carries and hides in the back line.


CC obvipously thinks he can be good and said so when he ;left that he could be the most devastating backrower in SL if he wants.

Pauli is out of contract and I have not read anything regarding a new one so I would be surprised to see him with us next season. I would guess Salford could be a probable destination.

Well if doesn't it's a quota spot we'll have a chance to fill.

If so, a replacement prop would be good, one with a good engine.

A younger version say of Engy, grom his first couple of seasons.

Some would probably say a decent half back, but our current ones are tied into deals, one very long term.

I'm sure there are some average players we can find from Aus & sign up for 3 years (I know I'm very frustrated)

Based on our inability to score against Leeds, Pauli playing 2 x 10 minutes but crashing over for two tries would have been well worthwhile.

Pauli looked a lot slimmer on his televised debut for Salford a few weeks back. That was only a couple of days after the swap so I just put the optical illusion down to a tighter fitting and more flattering strip design and his new hair doo.

Pauli has been offered a 2 year deal at Salford I hope we don't sign Sau for 2 years but I bet we do
