Could not agree more.

To me the relationship between pro and amateur clubs is dreadfull and I've no idea who's fault that is tbh and long term it's the one that needs meanding more than any other.

However what we seem to be doing is leading from the front and setting examples. This is the way to create both players of the game and fans. This is how you make the people of Wakefield connect with the club. Especially getting back into the schools, that's vital imo and bridges the gap between pro clubs and junior clubs to a degree.

Won't happen overnight but it will happen. That is unless Rodders, Ted and there little crew take charge. Then it will be back to market trading payers like bits of meat.

It's vital we get the stadium but it's just as vital that the club is allowed to carry this through to the end and by doing so hopefully help save the game in WMDC.

So when we cheer the team on this year do it with gusto because we are supporting the future.

It's a shame some fans wish to remain cynical and unsupportive spreading malicious gossip but happily most seem to be embracing it.

Note - I've never met MC so no vested interest from me I'm just applauding what I see.

Brilliant to see the strides being made by the club year in year. My son has benefited from the great work from the community team via his junior club.

Great to see the investment in further initiatives and getting the club name back in to the faces of the Wakefield public.

What we need to do now is convince the Super League clubs to follow suit and set up A teams and form an A Team league!!

Agree with all of the points made above. There's so many positives around the club at the moment. I don't know MC either but he can only be judged on the way the club is performing both on and off the pitch. So far so good. Lets hope we start to attract a few more through the gate and build the club's profile up even more.

I'd also just like to say that although MC seems to be the face of Trinity, CB as also played a big part in what as happened over the past few years and deserves a lot of credit.

Totally agree, so many positives at all levels of the club. One thing I'd like to see is a regular update on all of the local community clubs. The club's themselves could write a short paragraph about what they've been doing and then Trinity could collate them and share it on social media. Dewsbury Rams do something similar and I enjoy reading about the local clubs

Just to add 6 of our youngsters have made the England Youth National Performance squad this year, so the Youth side of things seems to be in very good hands. I know we had 3 selected for the side last year so hope we can improve on that number.

Tbh with coming on here and not going on facebook etc much, apart from Trinity TV, I miss a lot of the news the Community side of things does.

I'd heard about the great things we're doing as far as setting up a Ladies RL team, the Physical Disability RL side & the Ambassador Clubs Programme, which are all obviously great individual programs that the Community team have been a massive part of and I wouldn't be surprised if they are in for more awards come the time, but I've missed a few other things.

I had a look back through news items when I watched the Hull KR game and was surprised by how much they have managed to achieve. All the schools we're getting into with the Trinity DNA player development camps and Wakefield Trinity’s England Talent Pathway programme, not just Schools in Wakefield but Barnsley and Doncaster as well is absolutely outstanding. Well done.

It is in the best shape it has been in, both on and off the pitch, that I have known, since I began watching at the start of the 80s.

This may surprise many on here but I must congratulate the club for bringing back respect. We are now no longer considered anything other than rightful members of super league. I know some still have trouble accepting the new Wakefield Trinity because I was one of them.
I hope that the gamble to play the first season with a much weakened team with the expected results we produced was calculated by knowing that the savings made over the season would be out weighed by the fact that finishing bottom was not an automatic relegation. We then invested to generate a team that could survive albeit only just. The gamble paid off so well done to those in charge.
The team strength has grown in quality and stature whilst retaining the Wakefield Trinity squad ethos since that first season. We have a group of talented young players all signed up to long term contracts.
We are no longer a feeder to others who cannot find their own players preferring to unsettle ours. We now have a squad of players who see their careers actually progressing with Wakefield.
I have always been proud to support Trinity for more years than I care to remember, through the thin and thin with the occasional high. I think the new supporters are very lucky because they have not experienced the financial uncertainty and ridicule many of us have faced. I hope they appreciate what they have because it took over 40 years to get there.
We just need to convince those in charge of the international team that we exist. I know it is strange for them to look beyond the usual teams but I sense it is only a matter of time.
I remain a staunch supporter of staying at Belle Vue and I hope that this one last remaining piece of the Wakefield Trinity puzzle can be resolved.
I will as per usual be in my seat Friday, probably freezing but you can expect nothing less with summer rugby.
