Good kid, only 16 I believe, having watched nearly all of the 19s games last season,I thought he was the most improved, but he's far from first grade at the mo,but if he keeps listening and improving, who knows. His position is winger, with the odd FB start.

| He's a second year Academy player so U18
Explosive player who has great footwork and speed, he supports players very instinctively and scores a lot of tries off it.
Not ready for 1st team football for a good couple of years or more imo

| Frazer Morris (Prop Forward) - Big strong lad & Cleared up at the awards night - Should be giving him a deal.
Harry Swan ( / Second Row) - Another big lad, get him into shape and he could definitely make it.
Bradley Moules (Hooker) - We gave him a 1 year deal last season for the first team - Didn't play but he has the potential to make it first grade.
Also heard good things bout Ben Cornell (Hookers) & Scott Flemming (Half Back) too, along with the already mentioned Judah Mazive.

| Young lad James Bachelor was giving a trial this season and has impressed. Scored in his first 3 games.

| Said it before, it's a shame we couldn't bring Corbyn Kilday back to the club.

That's a shame. Looked promising
Also a shame that the website doesn't have all the profiles on. But I'm sure I can forgive the club for this one!
Over the next 3 or 4 years I'd like us to have a fair few more Academy products in the first team.
Max Jowitt, Tom Johnstone, Jordan Crowther & Chris Annakin, and hopefully Ben Shulver, all have the ability to nail down a First Team spot. Just hope we carry it on and introduce some more.
Wigan had 10/17 in the grand final squad, whilst Leeds had 8/17 in theirs - that we're Academy products.
One day!!

| Although we should aspire to have the same number of quality junior Wigan or Leeds, having 5 of our own who will all play some first team rugby, is a massive step forward for Trinity.
I cant remember the last time we were in this position.
Of course, the key is to try and add a couple youngsters each year until we get a strong nucleus of home grown players and their presence will certainly help encourage others.
Under Smiths guidance, they are all certain to improve which can only be good for the club.

| Worth noting that the big clubs get a lot of praise for promoting their own - whilst the majority of them are exactly not that - hence clubs like Wakefield struggle to hang on to the best ones.
Ryan Hampshire - Wigans own???

Yeah, there is no doubt that they hoover up large numbers of youngsters from wherever they can but, the one thing that thy appear to do well, is to develop them into top quality players and they aren't afraid to play them plus, when they do play, the young lads fit seamlessly into to team.
It's all about having the numbers and quality in the first place and the other aspect, especially in relation to Wigan is, that if they lose one of there good youngsters, there is another player, just as capable, right behind them on the production line.
Although it was all "good business" they never appear too worried when these players move on.
Most clubs would be gutted to lose players of Tomkins' quality or, Joe Burgess but, they seem to be largely unaffected and of course they often return.

Producing juniors of the quality and quantity takes big bucks - hence the Hull situation - which I am no a fan of at all as I thinks its a really bad move for the game and very short sighted!

| Wigan,Warrington scouts are at most of the Wakefield and district games,it's just got to be accepted that young lads are going to be easily drawn to these clubs, and walk around with the track suits on.The 2 lads from the 16s proves it that money talks.I've said it before, that until Trin can pay silly money to a 16yr old then we can only rely on loyalty.Don't forget that Wigan have already been punished for their scholarship dealings and I dare bet it's hardly scratched the surface.

TRB - Ryan Hampshire has never been at Wakey. Wigan signed him from Normanton Knights. Wigan are in order for promoting him - they developed him.
