Apparently there are a number of fans who question the commitment to the club of our Chairman.

Well in the hope that this will end any speculation as to his 100% desire to see Wakefield Trinity rise from the ashes of the Elston era, here is some information regarding our accounts.

We seem to have made a small profit from the 2014 season which in turn followed what looked like an inflated profit from the 2013 season.

The accounts also state:
At the end of the year the club had net liabilities of £1,511,688, but of that figure £1,016,974 is owed to shareholders, of which £853,500 is owed to Chairman Michael Carter.

I guess for the few even this might not be enough but surely it illustrates that right or wrong the decisions being made are always made with the best of intentions and not designed to cause hurt or hardship.

Can we all get behind this, we are in the fight of our lives and we need to pull together again!

Never thought Carter was doing this for any other reason than to protect his own interests, and with that amount owed its completely understandable.

Out of interest how much did Glover agree to write off? i think it was a similar sort of figure.

If he was just protecting his own interests then his money would be in his bank!

I am happy with how Carter is running the club other than a few key areas.

Having read the full article it confirms he wants his money back.

Do we judge the Chairmen of other clubs in the same way then?

Are Fulton, Davy, Lenighan, O'Conner, Hudgell, Moran and Co all protecting their own interests?

I don't get your warped logic, as I said before, if you were protecting your own interests you wouldn't put your money in or even get involved in the first place!

As for writing it off,
Glover wrote his money off because he wanted to walk away and have done with it, despite the bad wrap he gets on here I believe he had a conscience with regards his part in the position the club was in.

If or when that decision comes to Michael Carter I'm sure he'll do what circumstances dictate and allow.

He should and I'm not criticising him for it but it concurs with my first post. If the club went kaput he'd lose his £850k.

Does it say how much Brereton is owed/has put in?

I thought Glover agreed to not get his money back until the club could afford it, not having it written off?

My take on this as far as I know is that Glover wiped off what he was owed so he and Elston wasn't brought to task with what happened to the money that were owed to a variety of people or organisations.
But I could be way off.

Also anybody that questions what Mr Carter is doing should look in the mirror and give their head a good shake.

Its simple but some people don't get it NO CARTER would have meant NO CLUB sit and think before SLAGGING off
