There should be an update & follow up to the public meeting towards the back end of June/early July. There is a significant amount of work going on at the moment, possibly at any stage since the PI.

As we said, we will take this as far as required to get what the citizens of Wakefield were promised, a community stadium at Newmarket.

I despair sometimes at the 'support' from our own!

I met with Andrea Jenkyns and Michael Carter yesterday. None of us were there because we thought this was 'dead', far from it.

I would also remind those who prefer a BV option (of which I am not one, but would be happy to see if it is genuinely the best option for the club), that if NM is dead, so is BV.

3 meetings this week, just the one next week so far, but plenty going on on several fronts!

Well done TRB. I admire your staying power. Like all Wakefield supporters, we hope. I suppose when you are out of the loop and see knock back after knock back, one can get cynical but hearing of your work is encouraging and I hope it brings success. What can we do as supporters to put pressure on people or help? Apart from turn up at Belle Vue of course!

Go on then, I'll bite - what would you do / like to see done?

Where would you build and how would you fund it?

Who would you get to try and help you?

How many hours a week over how many years are you prepared to commit?

When would you call it quits?

Where do you think the club should play out of - given that we are likely to have to leave BV?

How would you generate interest in the club from fans / investors - with no money?

These type of comments make me laugh really. So easy to type 2 words, so little though or conscience behind them. And this is from one of our own - no, really, he is!



We are in a battle to save the club from relocation out of the Wakefield district - permanently - or just from complete extinction. This is not just about the Stadium, but without it the rest wont work. Time to choose - either you are with us or against us!

As everyone knows - we have enough problems dealing with the other parties in this process, let alone those who we are supposedly fighting for!

I wouldn't read too much into this type of quote TRB he probably doesn't mean it, I think its just that everyone is so frustrated and fed up at the moment with everything WTW, and the only news we as supporters get to hear is when someone on here asks the question where are we with the project and the standard reply seems to be we will give some news soon or we will be attending meetings in the next few days.
So I think that kind of come t just comes out of frustration.

I get all that, and have written to that effect several times, but that is a throw away, flippant, without consideration attempt at being clever at the expense of those of us towing our nuts and putting this process before jobs at times!

Well it's not big and it's certainly not clever - nor is it helpful to anyone, and I genuinely mean those questions - as those that diss our efforts can not answer them and, if they can, then please come forward and I can get on with a more normal life!

Hey I get all that and I can see any negative comment made on here really rankles you and I fully get that too, but and I am sure this will not be popular I would say that his comment is how alot on here see the situation.
In answer to one of your questions I would have walked away long ago were I in your position but thankfully for everyone I am not.
I wish you all the luck in the world but in all honesty I have resigned myself to a negative result from your and many others hard work and as far as WTW goes I fear we are on borrowed time as a whole.

The opening post had me thinking here we go again. I'm not a Mod so I couldn't lock the topic, thereby saving page after page of supposition and speculation. Thought my short and succinct reply would do the job. Page 2 already means I failed miserably.

Don't see the need to lock the topic - we always try and tell what we can when asked and it is natural for people to want to know what is happening - for reasons already stated above.

TRB, you mention that if NM is dead so is BV, can you put any meat on those bones?

Yeah - simple really - its the same money - if we cant get it then it wont be a choice of which - it will be neither!

We need to conjure up a small fortune to buy BV - and then a much bigger one to do it up!

A ground share is the only way forward I think, I would rather support WTW in someone else's stadium than not have WTW to support at all.....
this is just my opinion and I hope I am proved wrong by either stopping at BV or getting NM resurrected.

A ground share will just prolong agony, hardly any fans turn up to watch Trinity at BV, how many do you think will turn up with them playing at another teams home ground?

Simple question for you, are you optimistic that sufficient money will be found to fund either location, because if your optimism does not match your passion and commitment, then your rant at Wollo who was either making a sarcastic reply to the OP or stating his opinion to which he is entitled to was unwarranted.

In the meantime we continue to talk to all parties.

A ground share situation would kill us. Share with who? The only option for ground share is to move out of the city. The team may move but the fans won't!
