| I said on the Salford forum that when Smith went to Salford we haven't been seeing the best of Kirmond and they haven't been seeing the best of Smith. Great to have Timmy back as his return has clearly given the players a much needed lift.

Indeed, it's like we've signed 2 quality players.
Such a shame we cant seem to fit Sammut in, think he could be the perfect long term replacement for Mathers.

Do you not think sammut may be the problem not the answer or am I the only one who sees it. I don't care how good he is but if he's disruptive then get rid. I have no insider knowledge but that looks exactly what Webster has done and it's payed off.

| I tend to agree Vasty, he has done nothing since he came to warrant the Princess Di like outpouring of grief of some fans at him being dropped. He's no messiah, he's not even a very naughty boy.
But if he takes all this on the chin, awaits his chance and proves he's committed to his new paymasters then all will be good.
If he doesn't and he goes, then so be it - others will take his place.

Maybe so, but I think a fit and happy Sammut would bring more to the table than most players within our budget.
If he is being disruptive then let's let him go, but like I say, its a shame he hasn't settled for whatever reason.

I agree but just as we appear to be the club for Tim Smith it looks increasingly like we dare not the one for sammut - can't see him playing for us again tbh

Don't know if he's a bad apple type, but he certainly hasn't fit well within the squad.
I think he caused a too many pegs for not enough holes at half back and caused disruption in the team to fit him in, making the team then unbalanced.
In attack he's a decent enough player, in defence he's a liability.
If its not worked then good luck to him where ever he goes, when we signed him i was quite pleased, but as its turned out he's probably been more of a loss to Bradford than a gain to us.
Had Tim not been made available by Salford it may well have (had to) pan out differently and Webster might not of had the "luxury" of being able to ship him out to fev.

| Smith is certainly creating plenty and Kirmo will benefit big time.
All the talk about gelling that we've had for most of the season but Smith looks like he's never been away.
The big question is, how do we keep him long term ?

Not suggesting he's a bad apple though he may be. Just that it hasn't worked out or at least not yet. It happens but with Smith clearly looking for a return to BV I can't see Sammut hanging about.

| Smith has improved all the plays the players look more hungry. Smith is like Korki puts the Wakey shirt on he transforms into a top player. Fans must keep behind him if not his confidence will be rocked. He makes so many players look like Rolls Royces.

| It's a good example of what the Chris Waddle was ranting about after England exited another World Cup with a whimper; a team should be selected with the aim of becoming more than the sum of its parts.
Smith certainly seems to benefit from, and be of benefit to, whatever it is we do at Wakey; whether he thrives in a lower expectation environment, or works better when he's the cleverest bloke on the pitch, or he just really likes WTW and has good mates here - who knows, but he twice the player he was at Salford and those around him grow six inches when he's on the park - not least Kirmo and Sykes.
It's like a symbiotic relationship - he's a wizard, but only at Wakefield; maybe someone could make a snappy nickname out of that...?

| I think Smith is cheating on Danny with Sykes !! He looks a much better player in attack since Timmy has come back
