Got told today we have! Don't know how true it is. Menzies is available and although it goes against what many believe in I think he Gould be oersted to be our marquee signing for next season along with an up and coming half back with a point to prove and wanting to make a name for himself. Menzies and Morrison could do our club the world of good next season and really bring the kids on. Still think jd should be given a coaching position. I agree with the clubs decision not to offer him a playing role but believe he could really be a very useful coach and mentor

Bradford don't want him. He wants one more season. Salford are splashing the cash, and so I think they are looking further ahead. Who else would offer him a contract? We might get him fairly cheaply, and I think he could be the glue for the team.

Prior to the game a sports body asked me to do a survey, two of the questions I was asked were, what was my best and worst experiences in all my years of being a Wakefield fan.
Both those answers changed over the course of that eighty minute shower of s---e that I had to endure to my worst memory now being that display and my best memory being the sound of the final hooter.
Sorry lads you need to take a long hard look at yourself and Mr Kear you need to look at your tactical play, 5 drives and a kick don’t measure up in super league.

Ye that's probaly why we are not moving forward as a club, we ought to be looking for players with age and potential on their side, granted Menzies is a great player "but a 1 season wonder" i would rather see a young english player with great potential than a granted brill player but could at best offer 1 season, at 38 he wouldn't come cheap and would he take up a quota spot ? and injury's at 38 take some getting over, the oldest swinger in SL...Thanks but no thanks.....

I would generally agree - but this guy is a freak and we'd be stupid not to take him for a year IF we have the chance!
Otherwise, yes - go for the young / British players!

Ask yourself why Bradford are letting him go, maybe its a case of they cannot afford him more than not wanting him, if you believe the rumours about their finances. |

yes but the young british players we get we make them good and let them go its a pointless trend we have. The new stadium may solve this at last.

John Kear said that some awful things have been said about the teams perfomance of late. Christ if i performed like the team have been performing lately at my place of work i would have been sacked. We spend hard earned cash to watch trin i dont mind losing if the effort is there . I love to go watch wakey but just did not have the stomach to go to bulls on sunday and be so let down again.
