| Sadly, and I'll apologise in advance for being negative, but to capitulate, like we did, suggests this side have no fight in them, and although we're not bottom, I can't see anything other than relegation now.
If so it could be the end for this once great club, but sometimes teams do come back stronger. You only have to look at Huddersfield Giants, Salford and Hull KR. They have all being relegated, but have since come back, and stronger, and appeared in finals.
We have some good, home grown players, who put their bodies on the line, week in, week out, but sadly have several senior players, that just don't appear to have that same heart. Maybe, going down, but keeping a nucleus of these young players, and getting rid of the dead wood within the club, could be a way for us to come back stronger.
From what looked comfortable at one point, became a sad day for this once great club

| The thing that sticks out for me is the part about young players.
We have the most exciting crop I’ve seen coming through in a long time. Players like Hall, Murphy, Eseh, Bowes in particular.
I can almost guarantee if we go down these players will be snapped up faster than you can blink. That would be a tough pill to swallow and years of development would be crushed.

Let them leave. We’d rather sign injury prone 30+ year olds anyway.

Huddersfield, Salford and Hull KR all had wealthy backers who were able to invest in quality players to get them back in SuperLeague (ditto Leigh), unfortunately we are not in such a privileged position

We had the best winger in SL when fit, devastating finisher in the air and ground, and can think of multiple games not even a pass or kick went his way. In this team with this philosophy they’d be wasted anyway.

Out of curiosity, who is the backer Salford have.
Dr Koukash is no longer there, and to be fair, was only there for about 4 years. I also don't think Hull KR are wealthy, but have a strong fan base, which helps to some extent.
I get the OP's view, but doesn't work for all sides. Either way, I've stay up or not a proper clear out is needed

Hull Kr get excellent crowds and have at least 1 marquee player I reckon. They’ve just signed Tom Opacic on a very big wage so can’t be doing that badly. Salford I’m not too sure about,

| A win today would have put us six points clear of Toulouse and they'd be facing a real test to stay up. Instead, we've rolled over and allowed them to get within two points.
Looking at the remaining fixtures, I see us finishing on 14 and Toulouse on 16.

Who do you think we will get 4pts from, it baffles me because its difficult to see a win.

I think we'll beat Hull KR once out of either of the two games, and I think we'll pick up one more win at home. Toulouse have now got three games at home to build some form and pick up a win or two. It's looking really bleak.

| it really is a sad day indeed, a lot of comments on here are vile and its no wonder if players now don't give a toss any more, even I have been guilty of having a go at battye because hes not of a standard for super league.
as yet I've not watched the game as a friend invited me to a bbq which I would of wanted to wanted to watch the game live but chose to meet up and had a great day instead, sneeky looks at the score I had mixed emotions and in the end I switched off with ten mins to go. I will watch the game sometime today but when I'm ready.
now there's a lot on here with super positive feelings for the club and can't see the club doing any wrong, at some point you are going to have to accept that when negatives get posted most still have the club at heart, I've seen posts from one poster from last year backing backing the players calling one quality and another having good work ethic but this is not we are recieving now, how are you feeling today foolish?
I wish the club would be more open about the players leaving because if miller is one then I would give the captaincy to someone else who cares to stay with the club, what I would like is the monty betham type of player to get a grip of the lads we need leadership now.
if costs are the reason for WP appointment then we are going to struggle It's not like he wasn't a crap player in his time but we do need the motivationalist to get the best out of what we have and I feel he lacks that.
gawd knows how many resets we are going to have but when the new players come in it has to start there sorry if that offends some on here

| Slept on yesterday's result. Don't feel any different about our performance. Gutting to sit and watch that performance.

Don't you see the same happening now with Murphy? Never gets a quick pass from Hall. Probably fastest guy on the pitch yesterday but relying on scraps from Miller and Jowett.
