Don’t quite understand why they can’t just swap it to our home game and Leeds can come to wakey later in season.
Other than that it’s a cracking fixture to start with.

That isn’t the point. Common sense says that until All teams are able to play home and away, then any team playing on their own ground, that fixture is classed as their home game. Otherwise, there’s no such thing as a neutral venue.

So you're saying, in exchange for de-furloughing a load of staff and spending a fortune on making their stadia covid-secure the hosting teams should lose the chance to make any money back later by all their games being deemed home games ?
Best of luck getting anyone to volunteer to host them.

Its not about that if the game is at headingley whoever leeds plsyed it should be classed as an home game for them and then hopefully further down line when things may be normalish the return game be at say wakefield instead of been at leeds again

The lack of a crowd negates the home advantage for me. Its grass at the end of the day without the Southstand baying for everything from the ref. Point remains its daft to have the game against Leeds at Headingley as Trinity's home fixture.

I understand your point but it's flawed. What about the other 5 games? It's all at Headingley for that weekend

Please explain this "Bid" process you mention? I believe at the restart Leeds, Huddersfield, Warrington, Salford and St Helens all put bids forward to host matches, since then the Covid "Secure" venues where decided upon by the RFL’s Clinical Advisory Group, they looked at all stadia throughout SL and also other options outside of SL and decided on the venues that currently meet the governments expectations.
Also it is my understanding the neutral venues in terms of game preparation, strict cleaning protocols and controlling of "Zones" as part of the neutral venue process is all funded by Super league, Inclusive of reimbursement of others costs associated with hosting games.
