That's 13 players, a team or just under 15% of players homegrown. I used to be embarrassed by how few Academy products we had in our team but now I consider myself quite happy, could still be better but it's a massive step forward from even ten years ago, especially when you consider that in 2006 we stayed up with a team that barely contained an Englishman let alone a Wakefield product.

You could also at a pinch include Hampshire and Kirmond as they are local lads.

You can add Rocky to that list i suppose

No, he's not, he's from Sharlston and started at Stanley Rangers. I admit the internet can be wrong on those things but I'm sure he's said he's from Sharlston. Its one of these places like Normanton that more than one club can call its own. He certainly refers to himself as a Wakefield lad. So I think my call was fair enough unless you want to lose Neil Fox?
