To be the best you have to beat the rest.

We really can step up to this challenge.

I have a good feeling about this game as we have stood to to toe with Saints in recent years.

I will be taking the coach to the game.

Please MC make this the choice for fans by promoting this big time throughout the city of Wakefield.

There's another way to look at this - if we win, there's every chance that we draw either Bradford or Halifax in the semi, and coast through to the final!

Of all the teams that could have drawn Saints, I would imagine that we are one of the few who will fear it less - we almost had them at our place but for a dodgy call, and they've shown that they can falter over the course of a game if you get up in their grill and put pressure on them.

There's every chance that they'll have a great day and smash us to bits - but it's not inevitable; no pressure + no expectations + nowt to lose = danger.

Dodgy call??..what about our 5 tries to your 3 then?.. And our missed goals..don't suppose that matters then!

Yes, but it would be typical of us to beat Saints then go on to get beat by Fax in the semi icon_lol.gif

I have a really good feeling about this one, Saints away is one I don`t usually do but I will definitely make one in for this one.

I did say, very clearly, that there's every chance you'll smash us to bits; form, league placings and obvious skill and ability would suggest that to be the case.

You'll forgive a WT fan, on a WT forum, some attempt at optimism though, yes?

There certainly was a dodgy call but, not by the officials. The error was of our own making.
Having been given a penalty, which was around half way and straight, Trinity opted to go for the two, instead of kicking to the corner.
Not only did the kick fail but, Saints went up the other end and scored.
It may well have been 5 tries to 3 and Saints may well have missed a couple of conversions but, Trinity could and probably should have closed the game out, instead of giving Saints the opportunity to score.

But, as Esther Rantzen would say, "That's Life".

We can right those wrongs at their place. Come on Trin !

There is only one team that scare me and that's sts
They are playing exceptional rugby this year

But I also believe our boys can beat any one that is put in front of them and I also believe that this is our year!!!

They were playing fantastic Rugby last year though tbf whats his face had gone AWOL by the time the wheels came off.

There is no getting away from it, on their own pitch they are massive favourites and should win. The only way they won't is if they have a truly off day or we play to our absolute best in which case we can match them. Both would be ideal but thats asking a lot.

We really do need a 'handbags' emoji on this forum, especially for Saints and Leeds fans.

Nobody is denying that Saints have been the best 'rugby' teams over the last two years, just shading Cas, though paradoxically neither has had success. What also can't be denied is that one team, Trinity, has so far stubbornly refused to be whipped by Saints. I don't wish to tempt fate as that could change in the very near future but all the same we have run you close in most games I can recall in recent times. Even won a few.

Why that is I don't know but we used to do the same with Wigan in their 90's pomp I'm told, very rarely did they win big against us and again we also won a few.

The game earlier this season was one such game, one you could easily have lost regardless of how many more tries you scored. Your coach knew it and stated so and that will do for me. chillpill.gif

I think it kind of does matter, the object of the game is to score as many points in either tries and goals icon_stupid.gif , if we had scored all our points by drop goals and still won the game by one point would you still be bleating on, if you haven't got a decent kicker I suggest you get one sorted as it nearly cost you two points last time icon_rolleyes.gif

I’ve seen enough tonight to see we’ve a chance if we go there and take it to them like Salford just have done...

Salford lost that with either poor leadership on field or poor coaching on the sidelines, whoever’s come up with some of their plays when comfortable in the lead is mind boggling
