| Yeah, I think CC mentioned it in his end of season review on Trin TV. Good luck to him.

I seriously doubt that. Also don't get the Poaching obsession that some on here have. I'll take your JD fixation but Poaching couldn't wait to get out of BV and take the Leeds coin. He actually told my mate that he absolutely wanted to stay at Wakefield, my mates no mug and he believed him. Within 24 hours he was gone and I don't recall him doing us any favours since.
Davis Fifita has shown far more loyalty.

Wow because I asked a question I am now obsessed with poaching? You have some serious issues
I don't even rate him and he would not be my choice for an assistant to be honest, the question stemmed from the fact that he is out of contract with Salford and has been enjoying an overpriced coffee in Wakefield centre with Chester at least 2 days this week so with this announcement was it such a ridiculous suggestion?

I don't know if they're going to bring anyone else in or not, but CC did say that Gilmore & Dickens are going to take more of a full time role now. What that means in the grand scheme who knows.

| Great post's by everyone & I think correct about a designated defence coach. We looked tighter in defence with Kear concentrating on that aspect. When Kear left the club stated that Gilmore worked very close with Kear & the players so I am happy to think give Gilmore a chance !
Just to add to this overall discussion & next season !! All the NRL coaches in super league have stated that they, they're teams are going to get fitter, much fitter in the close/pre season. We were at our most fitness pre-season with Brian Smith & Chester benefitted. Since then we have not been as fit & especially for 80 minutes BUT we have played far better attacking rugby ??
I know most people think we are fit enough but can we play at the level of the grand final teams, consistently ??
This we must do in order to be top four next !!
Up the Trin - Trin for ever, better seasons to come !!

| I think we need a attacking coach- at times last year our attack inside the opps 20 was terrible.

| What about Barry Eaton who was assistant to McDermott at Leeds. He did a lot of the good work behind the scenes when they won there grand finals?

| Did Poching have much say in the move to Leeds, especially given at that time the financial state the club were in back then.
Didn't we, only a few months prior to losing him, and up terminating several players contracts over a certain age, due to financial irregularities.
I do agree though that at the time, he was a good player, and was a significant loss, but we have had some better players since.
May not be a bad about as defence coach, it was the biggest asset of his game, and he and Chessie have worked together before

Whether he had much say I don’t know but there was no fee.
However Poching arrived as a no name from Hunter Mariners the year after the Pearman crash and wasn’t part of that,
