| After tonight's game ! - - the referee is not the reason Wakefield lost to Warrington. However, tonight we had a
New referee, his ability to get/make the right decisions was profound. The last incident of a kick through over the Warrington line & in goal area showed his inability to read the play right, he was in a good position & clearly the Warrington defender had the ball pass him & the wakefield player was about to drop on the ball. Then the Warrington defender clearly pulled the trinity player back preventing a score.
One could argue that touch down may not have happened, if so then a penalty of a free kick should have been given. In stead he gave a 20m tap to wires two tackles on wakefield received a further decision against them, frustrated they spoke out & received a further 10m. Supporters frustrated, this is only one incident wrong tonight & quite simply, poor for the game.
Also Miller was targeted more than 3 times but 2 were warnings & the 3rd one when Hampshire scored he was badly taken out off the ball, to the disgust of Huby who remarked several times to him but because we scored did nothing to protect our players. Even shortly after Ashurst got a double tackle with the ball with one of the players making direct contact to the head, crowed annoyed ref waved it away again.
All of these things let go is poor for the game, frustrated players, crowed frustrated, NO Way is the game going to improve as a wow factor as wished by our two new leaders, RFL & SL --- I stress again the referee is not the cause Wakefield lost, he is however Poor - Poor quality & has a high degree of in-eptness causing poor decisions.
Only my opinion of course.

Not as much as it should be! But against a team who had nothing to play for and had a 60 mile journey on a friday night.

| Refereeing is generally, well, inconsistent to say the least. But after last nights performance refereeing standards should be the least of Chris Chester’s concerns. We got in at midnight. A 200 mile round trip, tickets, meals, petrol, delays from M1 roadworks on the way up, delays from M1 closures on the way home. About £100 and 8 hours of my life wasted!

If you were unhappy with that performance then you should have seen the Cas game last week. I was surprised Chris was so positive after the game as for me it looked like the intensity wasn't there. I won't use the word "effort". Especially for a local derby. However, last night I thought the lads did themselves proud considering the context of the game. There was a marked difference in the intensity and intent of how we did the basics.

| No, I rarely think they lack effort. It’s llack of composure, patience, nous and apparent game plan that I find frustrating combined with the occasional match turning individual brain fart. What the hell was PP doing last night?
Having said all that it’s been a good season with far more highs than lows and I’m looking forward to next season.

Completely disagree. Enjoyed the Cas game far more as Cas had to work for their scores. Last night was a constant procession of half hearted let ins.

| With Shudddersfield taking a 12 point lead into half time it looks very likely that we don’t deserve to hold 5th place.
