Thought Hicks was so bad and one sided yesterday that I'd start this thread. Has anyone noticed that these three seem to 'hunt as a pack' they never turn up alone and when one refs one of the others is also running the touch.
We also seem to have more than our fair share of this deadly trio and I don't think we have had Ben Thaler at all this season. Some of the new refs coming through are much better than these three and like others have said, I wish they would go the same way as Silverwood.

I think Campbell and the ex Marine are the best of the bunch at present.

I know part of being the supporter of a smaller club is to have a chip on your shoulder about the ref but I thought Hicks was absolutely laughable yesterday. Cobb no better on the line (not standing in the correct position and missing loads - including a clear view of knees to the head)

Not sure in retrospect how much impact it would have had on the score but one try came from a forward pass and another possibly held up on the line in the first half (?).

I agree that these are not the best ref's in the game but, home supporters usually thing the reff is favouring the other side, more so when we are getting beaten.
The biggest problem we have is not with the ref's, it's ball retention.
Very few calls go against the team in possession and we have been poor, all season, at completing our sets of six.

Having said that, when you get pinged for offside from a kick off, you know things are not going your way.

Child is easily the worst of the current lot of SL ref's and he seems to have a problem either with our "style of play".

Did anyone see the incident where, after one of the Warrington tries in the second half, the ball boy kicked the ball at Cobb ?
It just missed him, bouncing over his head, and Hicks saw it and was laughing, but clearly then thought about it, and after the kick had been taken, went over to the match commissioner, who then had a word with said ball boy.
Whilst I am sure many on here would applaud said ball boy, I am sure he won't be doing it again

I would agree with that, the number of times after been under a prolonged period of pressure from defending we threw away possession on the 3rd or 4th tackle was crazy. Miller was particularly guilty. He needs to, as do the whole team, fathom out when to throw a speculator and when to play it safe and retain possession or gain decent field territory.

Yesterday while I was laughing at the end with Hicks, we seemed to be penalised for everything in the rule book yesterday, the game was lost, or at least put way out of reach, with our own daft play.

Hicks got some right stick near the end when Warrington scored again, so when we kicked off, he gave the penalty nobody ever gives...offside at the kick off. Sums his performance up perfectly...

He needs to get the basics right, scrum down on the last tackle when it should've been a turn over and for the touch judge to correct it embarrassing . I'll hold my hands up all day when it's a penalty but for gods sake do it for both sides.

And they kept making us drop the ball.

They said it was when we did it, but when they did it we had pulled it out.
