| Again deserves his own thread. Looks like he has played full back in SL for years! Great defence, great composure in attack. Thought the same when he played against Hull last year, if you're good enough your old enough! Has to be first choice full back for me...well done Max

| Couldn't agree more. You know the young lads will give their all and have both slotted in well.. long may it continue.

| Toms try is probably the best I've ever seen at Belle Vue, but man of the match for me was Max Jowitt who had an awesome game. Safe as houses under the high ball and added great skill and threat in attack. BJB needs to go in centre when he's back.

Max had an outstanding game today.
Brave enough to take everything on the full, excellent in defence and just like Johnstone, the lad has some pace as well.
It's been a great day to be a Wakefield fan, not just beating one of our bogey team's but, a great win for our new coach and some local lads coming of age.
Well done and lets hope this is just the start.
Still buzzing after the game and looking forward to Monday.

| I'd keep him at full back and play BJB on the wing.

Surely can't drop Lyne or TJ after today. We're gonna have to rotate though, so will come down to who is freshest on the day.

| The composure he showed when McGillvray made the break was first class. He positioned himself so not to commit to the tackle too earlier allowing the pass to the supporting runner and forced the Huddersfield attacker into going where he wanted knowing he had the pace to catch him. He's a young lad who will have peaks and troughs but that was some of the best full back play I've seen for a while from a Trinity player. A non too shabby try to boot.

| We all have our own ideas of who should hold down a regular position . In our two young lads I don't see many people debating if they should be in. We have an opportunity to have two positions covered for a good few years . Our they will have off days but I would rather see the future of the club in the hands of young in house players. Keeping players of that standard must be a priority and show an example to more younger players.

| Can anyone tell me when we last had an 18 year old who looks as good as Jowitt? I'm struggling with this one!

Incorrect. Don't think he was 18, nor was he as complete at that age.
Good try though - both meanings!

Daft as it sounds, it's a struggle to think of any.
How old was Ryan Atkins when he debuted for us?
Before that we had the likes of the Marches, Ellis and possibly Westwood I guess?

Don't agree, Tom looked a better player at the same age IMHO. That said F/B is a marginally a harder position so that might equel it up a bit.
Sometimes you have to go with what's in front of you rather than potential. With only two out of his five games so far against SL opposition Jowitt still has a lot to prove but I agree he looks good. Johnstone on the other hand has played 25 games over two seasons (started at 1icon_cool.gif for one of the worst Trinity teams ever and has scored 16 tries. That's more than one a game and to me that says it all and after yesterday utter brilliance is now proven beyond doubt for me.
