| In my simple terms what I got from last nights meeting is that Box and his party are our enemy. Any vote cast for a Labour candidate in the local election is a vote for the demise of Wakefield Trinity. Box wants to destroy us.
Vote Labour and get Box, get Box and we lose Trinity, its that simple.
So my plea to all Trinity fans is put Trinity first, cast aside any party loyalty, even if you have a good local Labour councillor don`t vote for them. It may be hard for you, every generation of your family may have voted for Labour in local elections. Forget all that and lets get rid of Box.
Put the very survival of our club at the front of your mind when casting your vote, lets get rid of Box and his Trinity hating cronies.

| Without being political, it is an utter disgrace that the leader of the council, a person elected by the Wakefield public, does not have the decency to meet with the Chairman of Wakefield Trinity or the Community Trust to discuss the situation at Newmarket.
The lack of willingness to do so means that people have to draw their own conclusions as to why such a significant development is not deemed important enough for the leader to use some of his valuable time to attend a meeting.
Jobs ?
Planning ?
Health & wellbeing of the local populous ?
Bias toward other sporting organisations ?
Too busy ?
I'm sure that there may be some other reasons but maybe the council leader could share them with "his public".

| Box has failed to deliver the Community facility even though it has been handed on a plate via the 106 agreement. It his Officers fault if there are flaws in the agreement, its his Officers that are approving planning applications that de-aggregate the whole development.
If he is not prepared to put his whole effort towards getting the people of Wakefield what they are entitled to at Newmarket then he should step aside and let someone else in who will deliver.

| Box is power crazed bully, he will never step aside, and there is not one single Labour councillor who has ever or will ever stand up to him. Councillors officers do as box tells them to do. Make no mistake Box is our enemy. A vote for Labour is a vote to destroy Trinity

| What is the stance from the other political parties ? Have the cons/Libs or UKIP said they would deliver a community stadium ?

Not as safe as I thought. Basically a Trinity home attendance. It would be nice if we could oust the incumbents from their ivory tower.'"
Thats not the local council though, it's the general election vote. I think the labour council vote is much more one sided although i could be wrong.
The problem is most of the voters in Wakefield couldn't give a stuff about Trinity and whether we get a stadium or or not. They are bothered about pot holes, child care, schools etc first and probably rightly so as it's that which concerns them. And others would never vote tory because of what they did to the mining industry (and are continuing to do). In fact some of Trinity's own fans don't like where the new stadium should be anyway which doesn't help either! Can't see anything other than the same again, especially after 5 years of a tory government and it's cuts and back door privatisation.

I'm sure they couldn't and in reality the situation would, all things considered, not be any different. Having said that politicians are a little more willing to listen to their constituents when their position is under real threat.

| Do we want a club ? if yes do not vote Labour in local elections. Forget pot holes etc, do you want Trinity to survive . This is not a political argument. Its just a fact. If Box stays in power he will destroy us.

| I'd be amazed if Box ever got voted out in Wakefield, the bloke is a leach who will stick to that job as long as possible and he knows he is in reality as safe as houses. Ironically when it comes to the general election there is some reasoning that voting FOR labour might actually be beneficial. A labour government might be in a better position to put pressure on a Labour council than a conservative one would ever be, especially if Creagh gets a front bench role as expected.

| From the information provided last night, it seemed to me that the only people preventing the newmarket stadium going ahead is Box`s ruling party. Anybody else in charge could force the 106 to be complied with. Box does not want us to have a new stadium, worse he is allowing Yorkcourt to develope Newmarket without having to build a stadium. The council are the only ones who can force Yorkcourt to comply. Box choses not to. We will never get another chance. We must get rid of Box and the only way to do this is at the ballot Box. Box stands in Cas so he will get in. So we have to make sue that Labour loses control and therefore box will no longer be leader of council. So we have to vote against Labour candidates in all our wards.

If the public of Wakefield want to vote labour in the national elections so be it. However its the local elections where we have a problem.
You say the public are not bothered about Trinity and are more concerned about schools child care etc. Well from what I can see the local councillors have also been crap in that area as well. Box and his predecessors have had total unopposed power over our City for the last 41 years and
I think Wakefield has gradually gone slowly down hill for every year of their tenure.
Not only are they treating our club with total disregard, if you open your eyes and look around the state of or City and the way its going then that alone should tell everyone its time for a change.
