I'd like to put Annakin in the 17 but he needs to show up in the preseason as he hasn't had that much game time recently so hard to say whether he gets the place.
If Hall can play stand off I'd lke to give him a go too but not sure yet.
Would rather have Sammut at FB than SO.

Yes I'd go with this I think. I was in two minds about where to play Hall, Sammut and Lyne. But came to the same conclusion as you, Hall at and Lyne on the wing with Sammut at FB. Unless you'd been privy to the pre season so far it's hard to nail down the 17. Simon and Kirke will be hard to choose from as well as D Smith, Washbrook and maybe Annakin at loose. Ashurst could pop up in the starting 17 depending how he goes. |

I don't know why but I have a feeling that Simon will be a good signing for us.
My 17
1. Sammut - Despite not having good form last year I reckon a pre-season playing at the back and getting used to the role will allow him to settle and play off the cuff like he does.

5. Lyne
6. Miller - I reckon playing off Tim Smith will take the pressure off him and allow him to be a good signing

11. Ashurst - I think Tim was a factor of this singing, runs good lines and a solid player.

13. Ryan/D Smith - I put Ryan at loose because I don't think Washbrook offers anything there aside from defence which I think Ryan can handle himself. If it wasn't Ryan I'd like another good ball handling front rower such as Daniel Smith to play there.

The impact off the bench could swing the game our way, big units and plenty of aggression. Godinets speed of the ruck in the four nations was a huge boost to Samoa.
