| Looks like Tryscorer's got his wish. Leaving at the end of the season. Thanks for all your efforts Richie, I'll certainly remember your try celebrations against Cas! Certainly not the worst fullback this club has had.

| I can think of one other notable!!
It will be interesting to see what we have lined up for his replacement, McNally got a mention a little while back.
Infuriating at times, but class on his day.

I think it's very disrespectful to sidetrack a thread on Richie Mathers immediately into a discussion on his replacement without any thanks for Richie's service to the club.
Fwiw Richie Mathers overall has impressed me with his attitude to the club and his team-mates over the last three years. Thanks for your time in the RW & B and all the very best for the future.

| Playing his best rugby for us and he's leaving! Maybe it's time to part company but only time will tell!

I don't think anyone celebrates their own or a team try like Mathers and while I feel he did lose his way I think recently we have seen more of the old Richie but we have to move on and I wish him all the best for the future.

| We could do alot worse than Mathers, I hope we've got someone good lined up. Prone to the odd brain fart but worth his place in the team for his part in our attacking play and organisation from the back. Gets the nod for me over Sammut at fullback, that's for sure.
I have a feeling that, being a signing in the Glover era, that maybe money was a factor. Good look to him, where ever he goes.

| I am really sad to see him go. Good attacking full back and played out of position for too long under Agar. Good Luck Richie and thanks for everything.

| What could have been a more settled side for next season appears to be turning in to another re build. Richard Mathers done a more than adequate job at full back over the last 3 years and I will be sorry to see him go, unlike many of the posters who have constantly binned him.
With regards to a replacement whose available and will they offer anything better than we have or had.

| Thanks for your efforts Richie.
As for the decision i'm comfortable with it providing we replace him with a better quality natural fullback. Not sure who is available though that fits the bill.

I said he was class on his day.
Like it or not, a player goes; someone else comes in!!
Not sidetracked in the slightest.

Been a lot better with Webster in charge, looked eager and ran the ball in well.
Will Owen get a go for a few games til end of season?

| Ben Cockayne has tweeted some very bad French to Richie.
Could be his next stop?

| A great attacking fullback, defensively not one of the best I’ve seen in the R.W&B .
But when it comes to his wholehearted congratulating of his colleagues for scoring, well, I can’t think of any other Trinity player coming close.
If he is moving on, I wish him all the best, I never thought I would take to him, with his Leeds connection, but, best of luck to the lad .
