I dont understand how more people didnt turn up last night. We had just as much chance of beating Leeds as we did last year, whgen the crowd was double (Even with James Elston's 'counting' it was packed to the rafters. Why arent people coming to the game? apart from if they have had some deadly juice taken off them by the stewards.. It was really dissapointing to see the amount of people there after the good results we have had and the team playing so well..

It was a mixture of a few things that effected the Wakefield & leeds support. It's been a funny season what with our turmoil pre season, the Bradford points appeal appeal, no stadium news, but the players keep performance and fans stop moaning and good communication between club and fans and the crowds will get bigger and keep getting bigger.

Didn go, watched on sky. However I am in London working.
The club seem to be working overtime to get stability, and marketing seems to have taken a back seat . Its also fair to say that a number of walk ins may be staying away, and just how many of the walk ins last season got free tickets .Its never been easy to get the wakey public behind the club and I think plenty of hard works required . MCs said in the past hes not sure about marketing and what if any benefits it brings to the club, only time will tell. A winning teams a good start for any promotions or marketing manager.

Last years game was during the school holidays and however inflated the 10,031 attendence may have been, you couldnt move in the ground so there was a LOT of people there..For there many, many, many faults Elston and Glover seemed to get people through the turnstyles, maybe through false economies but they did. I suppose the wider Wakefield public arent happy enough with the 'public image' of WTW, ridiculous really when the club with reguards balancing the books and value for money couldnt be better!

World Cup. TDF, game on TV. Poor turnout all round, very surprised how few travelled from Leeds. I am sure MC will be worried, as our attendances are well below what I am sure he forecasted which will have put his budgeting out for the season.

Time for us all to do our bit and get get behind the team starting with dragging your mates along on Thursday.

Mr bliss? Some of them excuses are laughable. Sky, naturally reduces the total.but f1? Isn't the race Sunday? Wimbledon?! Who actually won't go to a game to watch either no Brits play tennis or f1 practice?! Also who are these drifters watching Cas?! Stick with sky, apathy and damage done by agar. Webster deserves backing, done a good job, a lot of it was simple stuff fans were calling for months ago.

I was even thinking should I stay at home and watch on telly when it was peeing it down, due to the traffic I may encounter but left my house at 7:15 and was in the ground not much after 7:30.
I had lost the faith towards the back end of last season and was was really losing the will to live this season but Webster has invigorated my belief in the team.
Now is the perfect opportunity to get next years tickets on sale.
The Rhinos are sending out mailed items to get people to renew now for next year.

One of the biggest turn-offs for me is the game itself.Sky and the RFL are doing a great job of making the game unwatchable at times.All the usual facts about economics,game time changes,holidays,world cup, weather etc etc do play a part.But look at the facts.All the clubs are seeing sizeable drops in their average crowds and it's the once staunch support they are losing in there thousands.not just the drifters.
We are now accustomed to seeing most games played out on TV to scarcely populated grounds.
The RFL will have to be very careful because with the Yawnion World Cup approaching next year our game could be having the last rites performed on it.
I fear for the game!

I'd say a marketing manager would be an astute investment about now - on a reasonable basic salary, but incentivised based on gate receipts; someone with a sports background and the right skills to produce a proper marketing plan - it could pay dividends. For various reasons, the Wakefield public have fallen out of love with WTW - someone with the right skills could find out why, and do something about it.

I think we're overthinking it to be honest.

We have a crap stadium in which we've largely played crap rugby for most of the season, when we're on SKY, on Friday night and its raining meaning most fans will get wet then it's not hard to fathom why the crowd was low.
