mr Roby on the Kyle amor incident he said he wasn't sure how 'reckless' the 'tackle' was so just put it on report... What tackle??? And he didn't sin bin lomax in first half because he didn't think it was a try scoring opportunity....you couldn't make these things up..

That's a joke really Amor was right in front of him there was the in goal official and the two linesmen one of which had the eyes to pick a forward pass that was never forward when we went over make no wonder they claim they couldn't see how reckless it was complete farcical officiating, I have no problem with refs being consistently good or bad provided they are fair and apply the same standard to both teams sadly on Sunday this was not the case.

Q. Are the referees assessed at every match. Q. If so then by whom. Q. What the hell do the match commissioners do apart from stand on the halfway line. Q. Is rugby league a sport that cannot be correctly refereed as there is so much going on. Q. Why are the flag transporters not given more powers or are the referees worried that they could be made out to look even more inadequate than they already are.

The standard of ESL refs is attrocious & seem to be getting worse. If Childs, Roby & Hicks are the next generation then Superleague is in trouble, as these will not be trusted to officiate an International Test match. The southern hemisphere would probably not let them run the line in case of ridicule.
The Aussies have got it right with the 2 refs system. I know that we havent got the depth of refs to do that, but that could possibly be addressed by the Rugby clubs themselves seeking out ex players to take up the reins.

Thought about that, but what player is going to risk the reputation he built up in his playing career by becoming a ref?

Realistically, the RFL have got a lot on their plate at the minute but it could do with looking at again, no one wants to watch games that are decided because of poor decisions.

At the same time I think we need to take a step back and realise how important refs are to the game - no refs = no game.

Maybe a bit of investment in the training and recruitment packages, with the right incentives could help but other areas of the game also crying out for attention.

The thing is are the refs really that bad or are they just doing what there told to do? In first half we didn't see much of roby so not to bad then he as is visit at halftime and comes out second half and as a big influence on the game.

Typical Jon Sharp, the blokes a legend in his own living room and wouldn't get paid in washers if it were down to me.

To brush off the concerns of a Super League coach and treat his question with such intransigence is downright disrespectful.

According to John Kear the actions of Ganson were without doubt unusual and questionable yet Sharp says "so what"! That says to me that he's not fit to fill the role he's employed to perform.

There`s even Saints fans asking the question and been blocked.

I guess it`s a case of;

If we dont have answers lets just block them

If a coach comes up with a valid point that we have no explanation for we will give them a fine
