I dont agree with Wildie being dropped but at the end of the day he needs to put a team that will stay up. Some of our youngters have had chances and more will get chances.

Seijka better than Wildie at hooker? At a guess no. Kienhorst better than Walshaw, nope.
Fitting Siejka in is likely to unsettle the developung combo between Sammut and Godinet.
He ignored kids when relegation wasn't a factor.

0 club trained, 8 overseas and 2 loanees.
Have to feel for Wildie. It is no coincidence that McShane has been at his best in the last 2 games whilst Matty has been on the bench. What has he done wrong to get dropped? Or Siejka done to justify a spot ahead of him? Siejka is a halfback first, second and third. One of him or Sykes on the bench means either McShane playing 80, playing a player out of position or messing around with the halfbacks to put Godinet there. Makes no sense. Sorry but i am quite annoyed at this move.

I want Wildie to be on the bench but Agar knows more than us; Wildie could have a knock for all we know..

| Whether it proves to be the correct decision or not Sjeka was always going to be in th 17 sooner rather than later. You don't fly someone half way round the world after 3 visa appeals to then not have them in the team. Agar must believe he offers something and only time will tell if he is right or wrong.
I do not see why Sjeka cannot play as replacement Hooker, the skills of a half back and hooker are fairly interchangeable. Lets see if he plays on Sunday and if so how he goes.
Of the 19 man squad selected, I would expect Sykes and Kleinhorst/Lynne to miss out.

| 5 games in and people expect youngsters to be playing, we're not Wigan or Leeds and even they only play youngsters when injuries come in. Agar knows what he's doing because if he wasn't he wouldent of had the job, give him a break........

| I dont care where the players are from, whether they are on loan or who's academy they have come through so long as they go out and perform.
Agar obviously believes that the 19 he has picked are the best players to beat Saints on Sunday and that is fine by me.

A) This season isn't the time to develop youth.
B) When featuring last season, most youth players did not show enough to warrant getting in the 19-man squad for games like this against top of the table teams. Personally, I support the idea of picking our strongest team with what's available and unfortunately I don't think that includes our homegrown players. The players we bring through the academy need to be of a better standard before they play Super League games. You cannot just throw any old youth player into the squad simply because they are one of your own.

Who care I mean seriously Chelsea have won how many titles with just a smattering of home grown players - this really is becoming an obsession.
Truth is I really don't care, WTRLFC is not tasked with employing locals - it's not a charity it's a business tasked with winning trophies - why do you feel there is an obligation there?
Sure it would be nice and in the long term cost effective but if we challenge for top 8 this season I will say again - I don't care.
Sorry mate I know you feel passionate about it but in the age of P&R it's a red herring IMHO.

| Well although I'm happy to pick the best team, to answer the question, the reason youth dev is important to the business is that future players are better and cheaper with a good youth development.
Very important just not every game at all costs

| If that's the best 19 for the job fair enough but the team has had a bit of cohesion the last couple of games.
Sometimes you have to build on that rather than the best players available.
Players can only become better by playing and having that pressure of being dropped for not performing, not just because a player is back from injury/fit.
Does nothing for a 'fight for your place' culture.
