It was called the Queens I think. It then was the ASDA.

I remember it as ASDA and Hillards was at the back of the bus station

Correct - then Tesco bought Hillards and closed down lots of the smaller stores, including Wakefield.

I was one of the Tesco employees sent over to close Hillards down - it was a horrible experience.

Going away from Wakey slighlty but was Jack Fultons in Ossett a Hillards store at one time.

Don't recall Jack Foultons being (wasn't it just "The Freezer Shop" at one point? What is now Iceland (and was the soft play gym [Little Rascals?] was once Hillards, and pretty sure it was another supermarket - (Grandway?) in between.
