| So Peter Smith has confirmed that Brad Singleton has joined Wildcats on a 2 month loan. Opinions? I would of been expecting a bigger loan spell than 2 month, but who knows it might be extended?

| Does this mean that we are still looking ?
2 months will give us some cover at the start of the season, but we will need A.N. Other for the rest of the season.

| Good plan imo. Gives everybody chance to see if it will work.

If it does work what will be the next step?
I think Singleton only agreed to a 2 month deal just incase he doesn't get the game time. Poore, Raleigh, Amor and Wilkes he will be a 5th choice prop in my opinion.

| I'd say this indicates at least one prop won't be 100% at the start of the season

| 2 months isn't very long.
He'll probably get a run off the bench in the pre season matches. Hetherington states that we have a crisis with our front row?! A little exageration there I think from the performance on Boxing Day from Trout, probably saying it to appease the whinos about sending one of his best young prospects out on loan!
Singleton will be available for the first 4 matches against Bradford, Hull KR, London & Huddersfield on 24/2/13 before going back to Leeds or will he stay like Lee Smith did after signing a 1 month loan deal? It'll probably depend on form & injuries from the Leeds pack. Should have kept James. obviously some of our recruitment this off season hasn't gone to plan but an opportunity for Trout ...
I'd have thought Raleigh & Wilkes will be fit for the start of the season?
Have Mariano and Amor got longer term injuries that they are recovering from which will prevent them from being fully fit at the start of the season?

| Would have preferred a season long deal, releasing James then only signing Singleton for two months doesn't really make sense unless we look to extend it. Or maybe we have our eye on someone else but need to shift someone off the books first. Possibly all linked to the Salford situation, if they can get sorted then maybe Issac John will be heading there and we can then make our move?

| That interview reads like he's open to persuasion for the long term, could it be another Amor situation in the making?

| I remember Agar saying he has one or two 'experienced' players, yet he has picked up a young player who no doubt can do the job. Does this still mean the two expierenced props have stopped talks with us?

Yes I bet thats the case now with one being Kirke who turned us down and the other was probably Mason who more than likely went for more money offered at Castleford.

| Did i see somewhere that it said Singleton was a Cumbrian like Amor. If so plenty of banter with Amor and if works out to be a good player we might be able to turn his head. A few Whino's are a bit nervous as we have done it once and as they say you can't keep them all.

| Said on radio that he was using the opportunity to make an impression with Mc Dermott, and do Cumbrians speak a different language.
