| That's a difficult one as I was so young I only have limited memories.
I have a memory of watching us against Leeds. Probably about 73 too.
I remember it because I clearly didn't understand the world in those days and caused a fuss with my dad and older brother when I announced I was going to support Leeds. (I'd heard of leeds United so thought that's what we were doing)
I seem to remember we lost and said I told you so. My brother asked my dad not to bring me again.
Clearly I saw the error of my ways for the next game.
I must have been at others because they took me to Wembley then too but that is my first memory.

Same here,my grandmother took me,I was 14,but my first involvement with the Trinity was also my grandmother telling me how she cried all the way home from Wembley after the famous water splash final.

| As far as I can recall my first game was away at Featherstone - possibly the last game of the 1988 season??
My girlfriend at that time had parents who were big fans and I went along with her and her parents - immediately hooked even though we lost.

| My first game was Trinity v the Australians in the early 60s. Australia kicked for touch from the 25 yrd line in front of the now "chavs corner" the ball sailed in a perfect arch over to where I was standing, in the paddock front of the east stand 25 yrd line (ish). Hit me squarley on top of my bonce, still, no lasting damage, I say, no lasting damage, I say, no lasting damage, I say.........................Oh wait, I came back for more..

| Think it was in 1983 season, possibly against Blackpool Borough?
Had not really followed RL that much (was more of a Football fan in those days)
Some of lads in my class started going and it all went from there, seem to remember one of earliest games i went to was a cold, murky Sunday afternoon at Batley, we lost but enjoyed the banter and also that bit of freedom at being able to attend games without my Dad.

| 12th April 1968 (Aged 6) Cas away – Won 5-4.
As there’s been no significant success since that year, I often wonder if I’m the jinx .

| Can't remember exact game, just so long ago but it was in the era of the old South stand, and one of my earliest memories is of nearly being wiped out by the great Clive Sullivan as I sat pitchside near tryline at the old scoreboard end.He was hammered into touch by somebody and missed me by inches much to the amusement of the crowd who saw my abject terror, and suffice to say i never sat there again

| I'm feeling quite youthful reading some of the posts.
My first match was a home game against the all conqueoring Wigan side of the 80's.
1988, just over 8000 (seemed more like 9500 by todays standards) packed into Belle Vue
and Wakefield won 25 -20.
Brilliant !

It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"
If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.
Sharing First World problems so you can get it right first time.

I remember that game wrencat1873, one of my favourites of all my times following Wakefield. The crowd was officially 8,114 as that was the official ground limit. Steve Ella was a star against his old club that day.
Many thanks to the fabulous www.wakefieldtrinity-programmes. ... 54162.html which helped me work out that I think my first game was on 1st April 1983. I remember us beating Huddersfield quite easily, 36-11 as it turns out per this website.
I went that day with some family friends, never went back again with them. I only went since I was staying with them at the time.
About a year later my friend on the street started going so I went along with them. I hated it for about a year then eventually I was hooked. The rest, as they say, is history.

| Can't remember the first game as I was very young and went with my dad. In those days young kids like me were lifted over the turnstyle. Little did I know that I was defrauding the Club but I guess I have put a lot back since to make up for it.
My recollection of the first game I saw when I went every game thereafter and have not stopped since was I think when we played St Helens at the start of the season in 1965 or 1966. I think we won that day.

| Got the dates wrong but the games right!!! - thats what old age and nearly 30 years of watching Trinity does to you.
I remember the Wigan game Steve Ella, Mark Graham etc was great to beat them just 18 months after being hammered 72-6 by them then the week after having the pleasure of my first visit to the Boulevard!! and seeing Ella's late try seal the victory. The natives were restless that day!!
