The SLSTATS site on here has our last season average as 6,551
That would be an increase of just short of 25% (24.74 to be precise)

| Be hard work to get much improvement next season. Suppose our home game v Halifax should beat the 6934 of the club they'll be replacing.

| Thanks, forgot about the stats section of this site.
Interesting that when we made the playoffs in 2004, we only averaged 4,806 that season?! 2012 is a 70% increase on that!!

| Over 8000 average is a fantastic achievement. 2-3 quality signings and getting some re-signed could mean we get 9000 average next year? The ground would be electric on game day !

| For me the target next year would be to get the same in people terms but more income.
The added attendance figures have created a great atmosphere at the club but we need to make sure it is paying for itself as well.
Increase in ST charge will help a lot if we get the same numbers.
Unfortunately our success will work against us with this. I think the bottom 3 attendances were on Sky. The better we are the more likely they will pick games where the attendances may affect the total.
What ever the case is, averaging 8,000+ will give us a great PR nudge with the other teams in Super league and get us a bigger voice at the table.

| Great result by the club and well done to all involved.
With Bradford being the third lowest attendance all year it makes a mockery of this "too big a club to fail" malarky. We have been ribbed for years over our number of fans but we knew where we stood when told this from the supposed "bigger clubs". Now one of these bigger clubs and the faces of the RFL/SLE preach how they are too big with a massive fan base is just a barely wafer thin argument. Take away the discounted season tickets at Bradford (10k) then what would their attendances be? Take away our season ticket sales <4k and we still have as many again coming through the gate. Especially such as Catalans who understandably don't bring many.
The argument of the Bradford game being televised doesn't even stack up when you consider that Leeds and Widnes were televised too.
Well done each and every one of you. Let's keep it going, onwards and upwards

| Cracking achievement this year in attendance terms - if we can push on to 9k next year in advance of NM, the stage is well and truly set for the mythical 10k in the new stadium.
I'm pleased for Mr G - he's a pretty quiet, unassuming Chairman who doesn't court the media and just gets on with things; whatever he's doing though, it's clearly working - I hope all of his effort, enthusiasm and cash feels like a worthwhile investment.

Totally agree, Mr Glover and his team deserve thanks and praise in equal measure, the progress since the dark dark days at the begining of last season is truly staggering

| Its not just the numbers/attendance as the atmosphere at the home matches now is electric whereas only at the beginning of the season it was alot quieter. I'm sure all the loud Wakefield chanting helps the Wakefield players massively and it has been commented on by them yesterday. Mathers positive reaction to the crowd was noticeable at the start of the first half. It felt that we had about 10,000 in the ground.
It was like a cup tie atmosphere last night and although some of the rugby was below par it was fantastic entertainment and well worth the money! Lauitiiti is world class and Leeds must be kicking themselves letting him go and getting Hauraki?
Kirmond, Mariano,Wood and Mathers need a mention as I thought they were also outstanding. We've got a good team lets hope we can keep hold of the core 19 players for next season and not have them cherry picked.

| There is a drop in attendence when sky appear and games against Leeds and Bradford could have been a good bit higher if the tv cameras had of stayed away.

| Since the new roofs went up the old girl has been absolutely rocking! Together with some great end of season form it’s created a real buzz about the place. The match day experience has come on leaps and bounds. Even if we can maintain these numbers for next year we’ll do ok. An above inflation raise in the price should mean an increased income.
I know it’s not practical but I’d love to stay at BV now, I don’t think Newmarket will have half the atmosphere as the revamped BV! That’s the price of progress I suppose!
