We`ll see wether Cowling gets a go or not, I suppose the ideal gameplan would be to move Kirmond out to centre - Saints have some big units out wide and cause nightmares for the likes of Morton and Cowling.

I know it's all about opinion but I really don't understand this desire to move possibly one of the best S/Rs in SL on current form into the centres.

Why?

Surely it's illogical to move a player who is dominant in his position into another position where he is basically cover and replace said player with an inferior one in his original position.

Play Cowling at Centre and leave Kirmond where he can cause some real damage. Saints may be big in the backs but there bigger in the middle where most games are won and lost.

What I don't get is why we loaned out Walshaw who played well at centre on his last run out, when we knew Mellors was out for the season. That said Cowling IMHO is a good steady player and will hopefully go OK.

you should have watched Dale in the nines competition , he put in some massive hits both in the round at Cas at the ones at Belle Vue

feline my dear, there's a big difference between putting in a massive hit or two, and consistently being in the right place to defend. see peter fox for an example.

well not really, morton's considered poor in defence. i've not seen him for a long time now, so can't comment on how he's getting on, but the parallel i made between him and fox was based on the evidence that dear feline presented. we all surely know that fox cannot defend don't we?
