True, Doncaster has the dubious distinction of having two of the most under achieving sports clubs in the UK. The only other city I can think of with such a dismal record is Bristol. Yet despite that they got the Keapmoat and we are still battling for the same - strange world.

I agree that our squad lads not getting the opportunities in the first team should be given the chance to go out on dual registration, and I apologise if any supporter, Wakey or Donny, gets upset about this, but I can't see the benefit of our first team squad going out to clubs in Championship 1. Having watched the likes of Danny Cowling and Russ Spiers come through the ranks of the 18's and reserves, they are quality players who should be pitting themselves against other potential super league players of similar capabilities. I'm not putting Donny down, as they have amassed a good side, but I think our squad lads should be given a chance at no lower than the Championship level, so that when, if ever they are called upto the Wakey 1st team, they have faced some intensity in a game putting them in good stead to compete effectively at that level.
