Well, the other Wakey lads we've got on DR are doing pretty well, Spiers has really impressed me so far.

Good-it's time the Dons started performing, I've always maintained there is a massive crowd potential in Donny should a winning team emerge!

I doubt it, there football team cant even get a half decent crowd

Doncaster isn't even a city...just a town with a large metropolitan area.

I agree that our squad lads not getting the opportunities in the first team should be given the chance to go out on dual registration, and I apologise if any supporter, Wakey or Donny, gets upset about this, but I can't see the benefit of our first team squad going out to clubs in Championship 1. Having watched the likes of Danny Cowling and Russ Spiers come through the ranks of the 18's and reserves, they are quality players who should be pitting themselves against other potential super league players of similar capabilities. I'm not putting Donny down, as they have amassed a good side, but I think our squad lads should be given a chance at no lower than the Championship level, so that when, if ever they are called upto the Wakey 1st team, they have faced some intensity in a game putting them in good stead to compete effectively at that level.

Put in a solid performance yesterday in his debut. Quite a mature defensive performance, and chipped in well on the attack as well.

Cowling is definitely one for the future along with cowling. Maybe next year we will see him in a trin shirt at centre.

He must be good if we're going to play him twice!!
