Against London Skolars and Toulouse at home, and Keighley away. I'm pleased for the lad if it's going well for him, and his kicking would obviously be an asset compared to what we have, but let's also consider the quality of the opposition he's faced too.

Allways thought Moore had good potential why we didn't keep him and not Hyde I will never know. Moore can kick them from all over. Moore showed what he could do against Huddersfield at home last year where we beat them. I would have stuck with Moore he would have looked good in our team this year. Dissapointed we got rid.

But 'we have made our bed and we need to sleep in it' so to speak.

Comparing two players in different leagues is difficult.

Problem is theres nobody in the squad who is a natural goalkicker. People have mentioned Collis and Smith as options but if john & Cockayne are seen as better bets than those two then they can't be up to much. Not sure theres much in the reserves. The only person who looks competent at best is dale morton but i can't see a way into the team for him. With our self-imposed cap at its limit its going to be our nemesis all season by the looks of things.

It's a pity Moore wasn't a winger - given his kicking ability, I could see him playing a similar role to that of Jamie Foster at Saints.

All conjecture though - he's gone.

Agree about John he hasn't found his feet yet but it's still very early and he's shown glimpses of what he can do but Smith's been pretty decent, he does all our organizing in the back line and has had a hand in about half of the tries we've scored, he's been a lot more sound in defense than I remember at Wigan as well.

Wasn't it announced that one of the main reasons that Gareth Moore left was that he didn't want to go full time because he had a decent job outside of the game so preferred to be a part time player at a lower level ?
