| what side do you wakefield will bring? hopefully they show some respect and not bring a full side of u20/18s like huddersfield did yesterday hopefully the weather has improvement but i could see wakefield bringing a full strength side and bench with mixed youth and strength but a £10 for adults and £5 Concessions/Student £1 juniors its a cheap and cheerful way to get your rugby league fix also don't forget it's a 2PM kick off.

| I would expect it to be mainly fringe players TBH with the exception of one or two coming back from injury, eg Olly Wilkes, possibly Mariano?

| I would think there will be planty of younger players, but some experience in the pack. Cant see us being at full strength unless Mr Agar thinks that certain things need more work.
Batley look like they will be very competetive this season and if we dont perform, you guys will take another scalp.

It has nothing to do with respect. What sense is there in risking potential injury to players in a fixture 5 days before the season starts?! I would expect it to be a very similar side to the one that played Sheffield, with the addition of maybe Wilkes and/or Raleigh, if he is fit. It wouldn't surprise me if Morrison was in charge again too.

| I would guess at, Matt James, Frankie Mariano, Matty Wildie, Rayleigh (if fit), Wilkes (if fit), Kirkmond, Trout, Motu Tony, Spiers, Kyle Wood, Big Lucas and a mix of youngsters.

I think Kyle Wood should be in there somewhere and i'm not sure about John and Smith, unless its for 1/2 hour apiece ? We want them fresh for Widnes.

| The last time I went to Batley we lost on a cold, rainy and dour game.
Hopefully the next trip to Mount Pleasant will be a bit more cheerful.
Also gives us an excuse to frequent their Weathersppons

| Can't see why we would play a full strength or near full strength side 5 days before the Widnes match. In fact I hope we don't.

Agreed - there's not much value in the first 17 putting 60 points on Batley; it would be a much better use of the game to put some of the younger lads centre stage and see how they cope.

There'll be a few 1st team players short of a run-out, and they should play. As for the rest, it depends on how many subs you can use, and which positions need a bit of tweaking.

Yeah maybe a couple, but I wouldn't like to think I was going up to Mount Pleasant to play Batley who although not being a good side, will give us a good knock around, then 5 days later go and play Widnes in what will be their biggest game for years, in front of a decent crowd and the Sky cameras! I would expect Agar will have a good idea of his 17 by now and may want to just see what other options are on the table, and maybe get some match fitness in for the likes of Oli. My mate starts work at Wakey tomorrow he will help whip them into shape
