| Back training with Cas today. Sounds that the deal could be off, we wouldn't pay his full wages, Cas wouldn't pay half. His tweets this morning said.....
[iBoom bk in the game!! Weights down at Cas with @jamesparkes2 told y'all I was unbreakable! Let's get prepared for the season!!!
see how long it's last, still not resolved but it's a positive step!!! That's all I wanted to do, train with my mates.[/i
Maybe a reprieve for Tongia yet?

When did Richie Mathers morph into a street-talking gangsta rapper?

| tbh i don't want mathers he plays like he's a thug and thats maybe where he think he's a street talking gangster if he acts like one he'll surely pretend to be one and why would we want a player who may be suspended half of time and put the club in disrepute
yes he maybe a good player some of the time but not all of time

Since the signing of Ben Cockayne, the disrepute issue is probably a moot point; however, as far as I can tell, Mathers has only been suspended once since 2009, so I don't see how you arrive at the conclusion that he's a liability in that respect.

| My younger cousin talks as though he grew up on the streets of Compton and loves to give the impression he's got a thug life but I suspect much like my Cousin, Mathers has been listening to too much Rap & Hip Hop to be taken seriously. He's definitely more of a Richie Mathers than a Marshall Mathers.

Nice! - though to be fair though I want our players to think they're 10 men, confidence never a bad [iting[/i.

Absolutely HATE the pretend gangsta slang speak that is so prevalent in young society, I blame 2Pac, Ali G, Naseem Hamed, 50pence & Biggy Smalls. Makes me laugh when you ask one of them why they talk like they come from downtown LA and you get a "Yaull dissin mi, bruv" type reply, hysterical!

I don't blame the people who actually grew up in and around the culture that created that street patois; it seems perfectly legitimate to me that 2PAC, Snoop Dogg, Ice T (and whomever their modern equivalents are - I don't really keep up with it any more) et al should speak in that way. I do find it a bit baffling that it's been appropriated by youths with no cultural reason to speak like dat do innit?

It makes me laugh when they talk all ghetto gangsta (oh, yes I went there) giving it all I am a proper ladies man, all into their biatches and then say to their equally homophobic brethren like "You feel me" and "Touch me".

| Quote: bren2k "I was attending Wakefield College 1 day per week when that trend started - one day I was standing at the reception desk chatting to someone when a yoof with his pants hanging down round his hips started walking up the stairs opposite; the pants gave up the ghost, fell down round his knees and tripped him up, sending him ar5e over t1t down a flight of stairs.
I laughed so much I nearly choked.'"
It's bad enough when young teens do it but I regularly see one lad who must be in his late 20 s early 30s who wears ridiculously vile coloured y-fronts and has his trousers halfway down and almost under his buttox, to make it worse the guy is about 6ft 3 and 20st.
