to the question, then god help us. Strong rumours that he was our frst choice until Millward put his hat in the ring, we lost out to Cas on Millward and now we are back in for Agar. Think the Supporters Trust people should be making the fans feelings know to the club as this would be a very unpopular move.

Some of the trust members have pointed it out a few times, at fans meetings and trust meetings.

The trust membership stands at just over 200, out of 5000 regular attendances i'd say thats pretty poor, if the trust stood in the thousands it would hold more sway but at this moment it does not icon_sad.gif

If Agar is the answer, the question must be:

"Who is the worst choice of Head Coach for WTW going forward?"

Can't believe the numbers are so low, particularly considering the turnout at the Cedar Court meeting. We have more than our fair share of fans with an opinion (including me) and the best way to get our message across is via the ST - The membership at 10 quid is nowt either.

Not sure if its been done, but could we not ask the club to give out information about the ST when people purchase season tickets and include details when they send their e-mails out to the database.

Goulding is such a ridiculous suggestion, I don't even include him in my considerations; I can't believe that any sensible person would let him anywhere near the job.

Information on joining the trust is in prime position on the counter at the shop, in full view when you pay but yes it could be worked differently by adding to E-mails and the like.

We all have opinions and we don't always agree but thats how it should be.

Elections coming up soon so lots of changes and improvements will hopefully be added and i'm sure it will grow, even if its slowly.

Daft thing is many who turned up at the first meet (when the other bloke was in charge) have not been seen since, its seems they don't feel its important now he's gone. Thats not really the way forward for a trust.

I'm sure many feel now that, because the Trust cannot use shares to get a foothold into the club in terms of ownership, it runs the risk of just being a glorified supporters club. I think everyone shares the view that we should have been more proactive in setting this up earlier.

Membership of the Trust is poor in my opinion but as Al has said I think people were all for the Trust when the previous regime were in control and now the panic seems to be over. The Trust's main aim of holding shares in the Club remains althouth that is not possible at the moment, however the Trust wants to be the link between the Supporters and the Club and at the moment that is how the Club wants it to be also.

The larger the membership of the Trust then the louder our voice and the more we are listened to so I urge as many of you who are not already members to join.

The AGM of the Trust is coming up in November following which an elected Board will be in place. It will be up to that Board to look to increase Membership and drive the Trust forward and I would hope that the Board will look to ways to make Trust membership worthwhile and worth more than the £10 it costs to join.

On the Agar issue the Trust made its and the Supporters view clear at the last Board Meeting which was attended by James Elston which was that we did not want to see Richard Agar as Head Coach - we could not have made it clearer but we are not making the appointment.

At that meeting James said that Richard Agar had not applied for the position and therefore was not being interviewed but that was a month ago and lots have changed since then but for what it's worth I do not think Richard Agar will be Head Coach.

My personal opinion is that I would like to see an Australian as Head Coach who could bring ideas in coaching, conditionining, nutrition etc. as I feel they are ahead of us and we need a good shake up. I would also like to see a local coach as Assistant to be groomed to take over when the Aussie goes home.

It only runs that risk if the new board and the members vote to go that way ( the start up board as no intentions of becoming a supoporters club) the more people that run for election and join up that are wary of that the better. Shares or not the club AG/JE WILL listen to a group of fans that number in the thousands.

It should have been done years ago, anyone could have started this ball rolling but it never happened.

I don't know whether that's aimed at me or not as I've never turned up to any meetings. I'm not sure if I'm a member or not but will get around to it at some point if the latter is the case. I have not got involved in the ST, but not due to any issues I have with it. I think it's great and I only wish it existed years ago. Personally I'm just a bit tired where Trinity is concerned. I've done my modest stint and it's a hard slog with few rewards, I'm just not up for any active involvement right now. Not complaining, perhaps I'm just weak.

Why others haven't jumped at the chance of joining I don't know, but if my experience with Squadbuilder is anything to go by you have already reached your peak, hope I'm wrong though icon_sad.gif

I can see where you are comming from. I was thinking the same last night at Leeds. How lucky they are, they just turn up and watch the game. They usually win and have reasonable surroundings to enjoy the game. Its all about the rugby to them and they don't have a care in the world in comparison to the hardcore Trinity fans.
Its an hard slog when your heart is involved with trinity and I still see a long difficult road ahead.

Its not aimed in any direction Vastman, just the general lack of support is imo poor.
