Some talk of Bradford Northern and some of Hull and Leeds
Of Wigan and St Helens and such great teams as these
Of all the teams in Rugby league with me you will agree
The best team in the whole wide world is Wakefield Trinity!

| Who would you prefer to be in charge of WTW first team?
I've been a long standing JK fan, but now I side with the ever growing number of fans who wants a change of leadership.
I have 100% faith in the talent of our region, you just have to look at how many top players in the game came through our ranks to know how important we are to the game. Our youth development and rich catchment should be the foundations of our club- & for me Tony Drury encapsulates that ethos.
He has a wealth of experience (and success) with the juniors and has proved he has the correct credentials in my eyes. He believes in the area and our development system, what more could we want?
Now to change before the 26th wouldn't be a good move but if it were up to me; I'd have TD promoted on the 27th!

| Neither - we need a fresh approach and a total change of culture.
Kear moves on at the end of the season, Aussie assistant in as HC for a time limited period, with a homegrown assistant learning the ropes; Drury, Morro or A.N Other could be in the frame.

| He spoke well at the 'Audiance with ...' last year and he seems to know what he's doing with the youngsters, however I don't know what his experience is of coaching senior professionals. I know many people who watch the academy rave about the style of their play, but I suppose it depends on whether he can bring that to the first team.
Should Trinity drop out of SL then maybe.

| TBH i would leave Tony Drury doing the job he does now as he does that extremely well - if we move him up, we then need to find someone equally as good at the job he currently does or better, otherwise the production line will cease to produce the young players we are looking for.
No suprise I am in the replace Kear camp. As for who I would prefer, clearly it would depend on who was interested in the job.

| Can't help but feel slightly wistful about the Catalans situation; if Ted had let JK go there, we could have ended up with Trent Robinson, who's worked wonders in a short space of time.

| Bit of a disproportionate comparison in squad though and I'm sure TR would have struggled with our shambolic start to the season.
JK for me next season, but he's got it all to prove, but hopefully he will have the off field backing that has been largely absent in the past.

I think if JK had the resources Robinson has we'd be in a better position. Jsut look at Scott Dureau compared to what we have.

| For me if we go for a lesser well known name, we are sending a signal out to the RL world that we are still thinking small time. We need to be attracting a manager/coaching team that has the recognition world wide, so that we can pick up the big name foreign players as well as the best of british that we can get hold of.
For me, Noble brings a lot of experience and professionalism into a club. Cru developed massively under him, Wigan turned from relegation candidates to the top end of the table - Maguire didn't need to do massive amounts to that Wigan team to turn them into Champions because of the work done previously.
Justin Morgan is a coach that has a good reputation and is supposedly not entirely enamoured with the way KR is going. I could see him linking in well with our backroom staff, similar age bracket, would have respect of players and is young enough but still experienced enough to take WTW forward a few steps. It would also be a great sign to the RL community that he would be moving forwards from KR to WTW rather than a retrograde step of choosing a Championship manager or a relatively unknown background person.
Jon Sharp has a good defensive mind, and someone with those abilities is what WTW need right now in my book. If you sort the defence out, then the team has the confidence to step up in attack. Getting players to use their energies carefully is a good thing that we need to be adapting. If a player is carrying an injury but still playing, he can't be playing at his peak if he putting in the most tackles and in each play on the attack too. Sharing the workload is important. We need to learn that balance in our play.
So, a dream team of several key coaching staff is my preferred option rather than 'a cheaper option' of one coach.
A coach cannot live off his history, and fans should look at the here and now, not just the past.
We also need to consider that if next season we are looking to spend the full cap money, we need a coach that can attract those players, and one that players respect enough to come and play for.

| Kear out now & Drury to look after the team for the rest of the year. If we don't stay in SL Drury should be kept on, but if we do say in SL it would b good to see a coach ome in who has a track record of getting into the top 5 on a regular basis.
