I think that game showed we have a lot of good players, just not the central organiser they need. Tommy Lee did a good job yesterday with Rinaldi and Davey distributing well but he won't be our season long answer.
If we got a scrum half that can do that consistently I can see us springing a few surprises.
We will get harder opposition than the french this year but they'll beat a lot too. Thought the team as a whole were great - and I liked the spirit. Back to the old Trinity!

For me:

Vievers - Like his attitude and can attack well. Kicking is excellent and thought he was going to stop their try in the corner with good defense. Bit small but not too small
Penny - Good when he is good, try proved that. Bad when bad, high ball showed that. Main plus is he tried hard to correct his error. Good attitude
Dean - Liked him in all the preseason games. Intelligent player. Took his try well, tough in defense.
Murphy - Still think he is at his best at fullback. If we do buy a top centre he might end up back on the wing if Vievers keeps form
George - as long as he stays fit he could be one of our best wingers for a long time. Big and fast
Hyde - surprised how good he is at stand off. Happy to replace BJ with him if he goes. Needs a strong scrum half with him though
Lee - My MOM yesterday, but it was close. Thought he played well at SH and I think he will e great for us at hooker. I'd like to see him stay on the field longer than he does at hooker though, good defense
Korki - stronger than I've seen him play for a long time.
Rinaldi - wish he was younger. Like his distribution and we always look better when he is directing play. He always hurts people when he tackles too.
Johnson - just works harder than everybody else. Great signing
Mariano - very surprised at his speed. Didn't see enough to say he is the answer to Fergi leaving but I like the look of him so far
Morrison - I like him running out wide rather than being second man. I think he made a big difference to our expansive play yesterday. Having Lee and Hyde in the middle playing well freed him up to show what he ca do
Howarth - another good signing. Works hard but I think he is clever too. Good skillful player

Davey - still looks small but distribution was great and was instrumental in Dean's try. Quick thinking and good pass under pressure
King - Good strong running yesterday. I think he is a good leader for the team too.
Spiers - Didn't see enough of him but the experience will improve him for when he is needed this season
Henderson - Again didn't see a lot of him but you know what you get with Hendo and happy he is in the team

John Kear - showed he is still the one!
