Just as an aside from all that is going on at the moment, did anyone else hear the interview with Dale Ferguson on the radio this morning. He said something along the lines of will need to go into pre-season training mode for the next month in order to get as fit as the rest of the Huddersfield players and then get in the team.

Hopefully we will get a new fitness coach when/if the take over happens. Colons methods obviously don't work in rugby league.

Needs it.Kear bloated him up beyond all recognition to fit right into the exhilarating "up your jumper, drive it like a dumper" tactic he likes to play and we like to watch...

I have always said that I don't think he is right for RL. Time for a change me thinks

Saw a bit on sky sports news last week about wigans daily training schedule . They're at the club early , have a warm up , then have breakfast , weights, lunch ( tailored to each player - weights & meals) , more exercise & then out on the training field doing ball work .
Bit more than our couple of hours up & down cannonball hill then a bit of touch & pass !!

Aaaaaahhhhhh! That takes me back to the semi-professional days at the beginning of the 80's

He might be ok for a cricket team but blokes hitting each other over 80 min is a different ball game and one I don't think he was up to. eusa_snooty.gif eusa_snooty.gif

Its free though. So the administrators have been advising the club to do more of the same this week.

He's right though we're light years behind teams in terms of fitness. These Aussie coaches are always at the forefront of the sport where as WTW are still stuck in 1960

Re dales comments one thing he said..."I did speak immediately to John Kear who has done so much for my career bringing me to this point and to whom I owe a great deal" but i guess we would rather have a thread saying negatives about the coaching staff than anything positive....

In terms of fitness the last aussie conditioner we had was an utter disaster...some fat kid who used to waddle onto the pitch...re English v Aussie...if your comparing superleague to the NRL well then yes i would agree most of the aussie clubs invest huge funds - into this area of their game, i suspect most of the super league clubs cannot afford it although wigan maybe an exception..

For me it is simple, a year ago we beat Leeds at home in the league...look at the team sheet then and look at the team that played Cas...it's not fitness thats costing us games it's lack of good players...also you cannot expect kids to be fully developed strength wise???

Lets get off the back of those involved it does not good...
